Even while in secondary schools , in the early 90s I must be around 12/13 then , I remembered when my best friend and i had a misunderstanding. So I should take your opinion as fact right because you have just single case study as proof.There are quite a lot of diss song that have been off radar without much airplay.
People don't longer listen to songs without core messages or resonate with their personalities.
