Doubleclazz:Where’s your POE? Direct to Houston or you’ll stop over in a city within the U.S. before connecting to Houston. Your POE is the first city you touch down in the USA before connecting to your final destination. |

I currently have a 5 years B1/B2 visa, Having another baby wasn’t part of my plan at the time I got it but now considering having another child and give birth in the US, will it be a problem in the future since I didn’t state it when I applied? I’ll really appreciate your responses🙏🙏 |

Goid say everyone. I hope you’re all doing well. Please I need guidance from mamas who are versed in or have traveled from Lagos to US for birth tourism 1) Does it matter at port of entry whether you’re showing or not? And will it be easier if one goes before belly is showing Baby is due in February, but I most likely will give birth in January as i will be going for an elective CS and was wondering about traveling in November or in December at 30 -34weeks 2) How soon can one travel back to nigeria after giving birth? Is 6 weeks after realistic or is this dependent on doctors approval 3) What are the documentations does one need to show at Point of entry? 4) Any suggestions on good and affordable hospital options will really be appreciated as I dont have anyone at the US. |

Mamabella:My advice to everyone going for birth tourism is to be prepared and answer all questions truthfully. In preparedness: Get in touch with a hospital and a doctor and get correspondence from them showing that you have booked an appointment with them and that the would accept you when you come. Have evidence to show that you can pay your bills, either you have the cash physically or you have it in an account that you can show. Have evidence of accommodation, either a hotel, short let, family member or friends. It has been discussed here that CBP officials in some point of entries are more lenient than others. Try and read up here,it will help you a great deal |

Hello great Mamas in the house, i had my babies in the US in 2014 and in 2016 respectively and both visas i applied for the purpose of birthing. I was transparent with my dealing and i used Elpaso Texas with Dr Esparati. I have zero balances for both kids and never took any aid from the USA. Paid all bills to Zero Kobo. It’s been hell trying to renew since my last visa expired in 2017 from getting date to being rejected twice with no explanation. I have applied 3 times now since 2018/2019 and was rejected the last rejection was in December 2023 after waiting over 1year for appointment date. Am i doing something wrong or is anyone experiencing this? I’m as clean as i find it difficult to pay to get an earlier appointment date not cos of the money but cos i love to run far from anything not straight forward. I don’t know if to re apply or what to do. I have never used any agent for my applications. I’ve travelled to other countries in between this rejection. I need advice please and what to do. Like i said i have zero bills unpaid. Like i paid even the bills that came in the mail after i was back in nigeria afterbirth. I paid from here. So when i say zero bill i mean zero bills. And i didn’t take medic aid, i paid what i was charged out of pocket. In terms of work I’m not doing bad so is my spouse and my status has changed way better from my last visas. |

aestake:Where is the lie? Do put in mind i have Kids that are citizens and sooner or later will be heading for prep class and college in 5 - 6yrs time. That i need to be able to visit at will. |

lollarojo:I didn't say you lied. Embassy has the key to the kingdom. They don't have to give you the visa, your children can always go to their country. How that's done, is not the embassy's problem. It is cruel but real. |

Good evening house, please how can my wife get an early appointment date? |
| Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Summerbutterfly: 12:00pm On Oct 21, 2024 |
Hi Hazardfan1:Tbh I don’t want to be one of those people facilitating the use of agents but if her Edd is close, an agent will probably be your best shot.. however you have to be very careful if you decide to use an agent because scammers are around. Also, it’s not like the agents perform any magic to get the dates.. what they usually do is use multiple accounts to view the appointment page multiple times a day. So whenever a new and early date drops, they quickly book it for you. When is her EDD? |

I had my baby in Houston Texas in 2022 Though I entered through New York to avoid any stress with CBP officers and it has hassle free.. spent less than 2 minutes and was stamped in. Went on to spend like 4 days in New York before traveling to Houston. I’ve seen a few people asking about entry through Houston, please can we get feedback from people that entered through Houston ? Planning to have baby number 2 in Texas again. Thank you |

Hi There, Got into Houston (IAH) 1st week in October. I had no interest in flying to another state and then connecting as I find that stressful. I had no issues at immigration. I was asked why I was there- mentioned holiday and baby. Questions asked were 1. Doctors appointment 2. If any payment made (I had made a deposit)- showed him a receipt. 3. What I do for a living and what does hubby do 4. How I found the doctor 5. If I told them I was pregnant at interview - I said no because I have been doing drop box for years and he said cool. Every other question was just from a gisting angle. I had $9k and I didnt carry any food Summerbutterfly: Summerbutterfly: Mamabella: Summerbutterfly: |

What do you mean disturb people? If you are traveling before the cut off week for the airline you will be fine. Get your fit to fly and follow the airline’s procedures (make sure you check). Doubt there is any airline that isn’t considerate of pregnant women. If you will receive extra attention- that would be based on the flight attendants that day. Mamabella: |

Hello Everyone, Please does anyone know how much it cost to give birth to twins in the US or Canada. How much in hospital bills, I heard it could go up to $1M. Is it advisable to have twins in these countries? Thank you. |
