Dear Nairalanders, just 2 weeks ago I discovered that the screen that usually displays electricity units on my prepaid metre is showing error despite the fact that I have units on it. Although, when there is light, I do have light. Anyone with a clue to what is happening ?

Check if your current is low. I had the same CON ERR for weeks, I thought it was because the recharge is finished. But when they brought bright current the meter started working well.

Though I haven’t experienced this! my own meter is showing a spanner sign on the screen meaning it is locked and I need a code to remove the spanner sign but still works and able to recharge. The bad thing is i must not allow my unit to get totally exhausted if I do, i won’t be able to recharge until I get the code. I am sure you would need to get a code to clear the error. I am also sure you’re under ikeja electric.

You only need your meter number to get the code & it is not free they will charge you.

Please what was the model of the meter. I'm facing similar issue.

Sell the AC and buy standing fan with low watts power rating.
