I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla. The fuel economy of the car is rated 28 - 30 mpg combined but mine is consistently getting 18mpg no matter how I drive. AC on or off the same thing. I’ve replaced the MAF sensor, gotten new O2 sensors , air filter, new fuel pump and housing, the tires are on the right air pressure, replaced the fuel injectors, spark plugs and coils yet I’m still getting 18mpg. I scanned the car and got a p0012 error code, so I cleaned the cam position sensor and replaced my engine oil and oil filter. But still the car consistently does 18mpg😭🤲 Where’s my 10mpg going ![]() |

Bomzky:Fuel estimate for a 20 year old car may not really be comparable to original estimates considering wear and tear. Is the 18mpg a mix of city and highway driving? That's about 13 liters per 100km. You don try but one last thing, is your cooling system in factory settings? I mean you still have a thermostat and fan works automatically. If yes, village people fit don enter the matter o. |

Hi guys! Good evening. Small problem with my Honda Accord 03 The power window button on the driver doesn't roll up or down the rear windows, but it rolls up & down the driver and passenger side. However, all of the buttons are functional, I can roll up or down the windows with their respective buttons, including the rear windows. Any help, I'm guessing a fuse problem, but I don't know which fuse. Thanks |

dalitigator:Check you MAP sensor, that's the culprit. This is located on the throttle body popularly called, ejector mouth. Once you replace the map sensor, remove one of the battery terminal for few minutes and put it back, it should rev above 3 to 5. Also, you can check the connector to the MAP sensor, it fails sometimes. However, you can also scan and share the error codes here.... |

2cribz:There's actually a MAP sensor. So just before you call another person ignorant, you should look first. Apparently the dude also mixed the sensors up. The sensor before the Throttle body is the MAF sensor while that usually on the intake manifold is the MAP sensor. |

2cribz:Its obvious you don't have sense. Because of the small mechanical knowledge your friend thought you, you think you can come up here to talk to anybody anyhow. Do you know the difference between the MAP and MAF sensor? If you don't know, be ready to learn and even if you think you know, be polite to share and teach, not to talk down on anyone. We are all here to learn and share ideas. I would appreciate you learn proper manners you fool.

masciv:I didn't mix the sensor up. The same issue happened to my car sometime ago, i even thought it was fuel pump issue not until i scanned and it showed the error. The MAF sensor is the Air Flow sensor on the air filter box The map SENSOR is the one on the throttle body. In this situation her, we are talking about the MAP sensor, not the MAF sensor.

dalitigator:Scan your car. Ifrom the description of the symptoms you gave, its the rocker arm sensor or citcuit aka raising sensor that's faulty. |

Matteh:It seems no one answered this, I use a Peugeot 607, and it has this exact problem, I have parked it, However googling those codes, I seem to understand the culprit, ur ignition coils may be bad, You have to reset your butterfly in your throttle body, as it has probably encountered error, If you reset and it doesn't work, U change ur throttle body ignition coil and TPS and see what happens |

Hi everyone, I'm about to get my first car, a 2007 accord. The one I'm trying to get, the mechanic who was accessing the car for me said the car is very OK but the radiator has been changed and the catalyst has also been removed but I should go on to buy the vehicle. So I want to ask before I make peyment if it's a wise decision. PS - The mechanic went with a scanner. |
| Re: Tell Us Your Car Faults. Let's Assess And Fix Them by kelvinmnet(m): 8:44am On Oct 24, 2024 |
Damlesky:Its a good car and also depends on the price its being sold for. Radiator change doesnt mean anything, as long as it good and working fine. You can always buy the catalyst and 02 sensor. Guess its a Naija used, hence there might be minor things for you to do... |
