No victor Boniface in CAF shortlist.. 💔 it's really sad💔

But on the brighter side we have Ekong and lookman..✓
He went on camera saying that him or lookman will win the award and are the favorites despite not playing any Aston game. Our boys needs media training

Hello Guys, you may not like it but Daniel Bameyi (aka Yum Yum FC) of Bayelsa Utd was awarded MOTM in Flying Eagles' win today.

Congrats to him.

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:50pm On Oct 24, 2024
Flying Eagles 2-1 CIV. FT short story.

CIV scored first then Clinton Jephta got the equaliser immediately after restart.

Then minutes later again, Maigari assisted the winning goal for Arierhi Kparobo's sweet header with a wonderfully weighted cross.

The true potentials in the team finally balling like the ballers they are.

Arierhi Kparobo!!!💥💥💥

This lad is the real deal! Didn't shine in the first game as we weren't intense enough, but today we stepped up and he showed exactly why he is Nigeria's next young number 9 on the rise.

Remember his name! Matchwinner!

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:56pm On Oct 24, 2024
This kid today was highly impressive in goal. Should be starting henceforth ahead of that charlatan GK, Nathaniel Nwosu.

Ebenezer Harcourt showed his Gothia Cup heroics were no fluke at all!!!

TheSuperNerd:
Naija Talents Watch: Ebenezer Harcourt, GK, 15yrs
*Currently 14 but will be 15 by October 21.

Prodigious Ebenezer starred for Sporting Lagos football academy at the 2024 Gothia Cup in Sweden and he was truly a rock at the back leading Sporting lagos to cleansheets across their first 4-5 games before finally conceeding in the semi finals vs fellow Nigerian side, Beyond Limits FC in a 5-4 win.

He is already noted for his excellent shot stopping, penalty stopping and decent game reading skills. Still young and tender, he will serve as second choice to Nathaniel Nwosu at the Wafu B U20 Afcon Qualifying Tournament kicking off tomorrow.

His tournament winning performances at the Gothia Cup 2024 places him as one of the finest GK Prospects in Nigeria in the U20 and U17 categories.

Hoping his development continues nicely.

Mehnnn. West African teams are good.
All teams in group B were level on same 3pts and goal difference of zero. Nigeria just topped the group because we scored 2goals same with Cote D'Ivoire while Burkina Faso scored 1 goal.

CAF should change this freaking method of qualifications please.

Our U17 golden eaglets and Ghana lost their place in U17 AFCON because of this wicked qualifying process
I dont know why the administrator from WAFU agreed to this nonsense. The nonsense needs to be stopped

R9 and Zidan are not yet in their prime when Weah won his balon d'or,that being said,
Anyone who follows football and want to be fair will admit that Eto'o is the greatest African footballer for now.

His achievements in football surpasses that of George Weah,
balon d'or is the only honor Weah has over Eto which he came close to winning.

Eto has 3 champions league trophies to George Weah's none.

Eto'o has 2 AFCONs to George Weah's none

Eto'o has almost double of George Weah's career goals.
Weah never played in a world cup game before.

So winning balon d'or is not the only thing that makes one player greater than another,u have to consider other things as well.
Don't mind him.
So many players that couldn't win it during the Messi-Ronaldo dynasty would now look like they are inferior to Weah just because of one season that Weah used to win World player of the year.

What is going on with Anglophone football in Africa. This is one of the lowest nominations from this section of caf football. The francophones and arab side are dominating. It will be no rep if not for Nigeria majorly. Ghana piunnn. Kenya. grin

Although, mbappe is a much better overall player than osimehn, I believe that Madrid needed a prime osimehn more than mbappe. They already had Vini (Balon d’or winner) playing at mbappe position and needed a world class striker not wing/forward. African players needs better PR/Agents to maximize their potential. Anyway, it’s not too late for osimehn, lookmqn and boniface to hire the best Agents, PR Organization and marketer. They all have the ability to be consistent world class players
agreed 💯

They asked him that IF the award boils down to him or Lookman, who will he pick? And he picked himself. He didn't just pick himself and Lookman for the awards.

No dey twist narratives just to fit in your cooked up agendas.

this nonesense will change if a west african or Central African wins the seat of the CAF president. u see all this mumu format started when that malagasy man Ahmad Ahmad a southern african man became caf president and there is no way patrice motsepe of south africa will change the format

My boy, the 1990’s era is one of the most historic era in football. These era had Worldclass players like batistuta, Del piero, rui costa, Maldini, Zidane, romerio, roberto baggio, Ronaldo da lima (44 goals in 1995) Jj okocha, laudrup, klinsman, litmanen, Luis Figo, Rivaldo and for an African player to Win the Balon D’or during that period, just know that he was EXCEPTIONAL. The mistake that many Gen Z make is using only “Statistics” to measure a player ability rather than watching that player. Trust me, ability, performance and talent wise, George Weah is the African GOAT until someone else decide to win that Balon D’or trophy. I don’t care how many collective trophies that player won.
The fact that someone that watch Ronaldo da Lima in 1995 absolutely tearing the Dutch league and Weah still defeated him speaks Volume. The man didn’t only win a Balon D’or, in addition to that, he also won the FIFA player of the year award. The fact that Weah wasn’t even one of the top scorers at Lique 1 and still won those awards speaks volume of his abilities. Football my boy no be statistics. You have to watch the game

You forgot the Number 1 individual trophy of all footballer, as if that’s not enough, he won the 2nd most important individual trophy for a footballer even defeating the legendary Maldini. Omo he is the GOAT until I see another African player with this trophy. If Salah like, make dem score 2000 goals at Epl that one na their papa business

No I'm talking about the 1st goal Musa scored. Victor Moses with the ball from wide, Musa takes one touch to bring it in just like Clinton did today. The finishes were different but that touch was almost identical
