How Phone Dealers Are Scamming Nigerians by Deeprooted(op):
So I walked into a shop to get myself a budget android phone.

I got what I was told is Redmi 13C with 256 GB internal memory and 8GB RAM.

All these specifications are boldly inscripted at the back of the phone and the pack.

My findings below 👇

Before you run and open thread to defame a brand, alwaye ensure you are not an ignoramus grin

Click on detailed info and specifications

As well you could have made your findings before spending on a Redmi device.

Also try to verify your IMEI

Google verify Xiaomi phone.

Ensure you got a legit device

Not a refurbished clone device.

First how much did you buy it.

Thanks for this update.

However, remember to report yourself at the nearest police station to be detained for few days so you learn how to address people.

Get your colleague something to eat at station because he won't be out till tomorrow.

Why do we Nigerians like scamming ourselves?

Before I ask him to refund my money, make him enjoy free accommodation today for cell

Are you sure there's no mix up somewhere before you punish an innocent person unjustly?
I've never heard of storage being falsified in a phone.
Maybe confirm with other tools.

Edit: I just checked online, someone on reddit had same issue with same phone. Seems it's a factory problem.

Thanks for your kind words.

But there's actually no mix up. They do it on purpose to unsuspecting victims

The issue is Redmi 13C is one of the best selling phones out there.

It has led to many clone devices.

I have encountered various,IMEI on the carton would be different from what the phone is carrying,

And it usually for 8/256gb models,

IMEI would even show 8/256 but another colour would be indicated,by the time you check IMEI on the phone,it would be showing you a totally different model, you would see 4/128 or 6/128

Now is that justified for the op to bash Redmi as a whole?
And conclude Redmi is scamming customers,
Why didn't he buy from accredited or verified store?

You're right on this again.

This is what I found out. It brought out a different color .

I just needed a small budget android phone. Not my main phone. It turned out disappointing

Not only are you a dullard + slowpoke,

You are also a bitter tribalistic Buffon

It's only a foolish phone seller you can lock up,

Worst he would give you a new phone or refund you,

All these your empty threats of locking someone up,

Na for you and your pocket,

You think all that phase me,

And if truly you did,

Only goes to show the Nigeria police are corrupt, well I am not surprised, only takes a corrupt editor to corrupt another,

Is that how you ediots abuse power by direct police to lock people up?

Confirm all this is a yes so we can take this case up.

Like I said you are a fool!!

OP change the topic,
You have confirmed that it's your mumism that led you to buy a fake phone,

Redmi is not the problem

So change your topic before someone locks you up for defamation also.
