I thought about it too, but then I realized that a lot of people only measure economy by inflation / price of goods and services.

For Harris to campaign using other economics number will require her given many lectures on Economy.

So the best she can do is to give the specifics success they have on job numbers, infrastructures, and industrial recoveries and then tell the people she will work to bring the prices of groceries down and support them with tax cut, child support and elder support. That will be more effective than giving lectures on strong economy numbers.

If you your cost of living is higher, cost of rent is higher, cost of basic food items is higher, you cant find a job, companies around you are getting laid off in large numbers. Then what is the use of those numbers you want to educate people on?

The complaint is not about availability of jobs... No administration has produced this number of jobs under 4 years in the past 50 years. The complaint is that they are still "feeling" the high cost of groceries. But if you will be honest with yourself as an educated person, you know that Biden didn't cause the inflation. It was a global phenomenon when covid caused most production to close down, then supplies couldn't meet demand, and basic economics tells us that in that scenario, price will go up.

But don't just dismiss experts when they tell you that the economy is going stronger now simply because people are not "feeling it". A boom or a crash do not happen overnight. Yes many might not feel it now but eventually they will. Only a novice thinks the of process for rainfall started overnight... educated minds know for a fact that the process has been long way coming.

As for Trump economy achievement, I will leave that debate for another day. But for the record, Trump did nothing and covid made it worse, what people 'felt' had nothing to do with Trump policies. Fact remains that there were job loses and many business closure under Trump even before covid. The guy had the highest deficits in decades and inflation started under Trump before covid... But this kind of discussion will be for someone who wants to look at economy numbers and not just how people are "feeling it".

But they could have made the argument Mark Cuban is now making tying Trump's deal to cut oil production, increasing fuel prices to inflation.
They should have primed that argument months ago.
Make Trump take a stand on it. Then replay the videos of him saying he helped negotiate the cut in oil production.
Making a choice to bail out oil companies at the expense of higher gas prices for Americans would have cut into his, "I'm for the average person" shtick.

Dems do have this view that people will figure it out.

I have not seen anyone argue that there is no inflation... even Kamala admits it always.

But everything about economy is not inflation and educated minds know it. If all you want to argue is about perception then, I accept you win. But if you can tell me economy policies of Trump or Biden that improve or destroy US economy then I want to be educated. I am more interested in analysis of economy policies and facts and figures behind them... I can leave you and other MAGA to continue talk about how people are "feeling it"

For the records though, according to 2022 polls, more people than now 'felt' that the economy was in a wrong direction, yet Democrats won more... Don't raise your hope too much that Trump will win just because the polls say many people are feeling or not feeling the economy.
