I don't depend on Government utilities... from electricity, to water, or government health services, I even arrange my own security... As someone who use and buy gas in and out of Nigeria, I still find the price of Nigeria gas cheaper that I sometimes wish I can carry some with me when I travel to other places. But I see many hardships around me, and I help as much as I can.

My dad is also an old school Nigerian man, who feels he is a God. Esp. when everyone calls him by his titled name.
But the distinction that didn't make him a good example was my Dad was also brilliant. Uber Educated (one of his degrees is in Economics) and successful both in Nigeria and the US.
