Ask Obaigwe1 why he is not believing the experts data on Nigeria and lamenting about Tinubu, Abi which expert data pass worldbank?
I am sure they don't believe most of the crap they say here

ObaIgwe1:
I already told you that if the only way a person can measure economy is through inflation and feeling, and your argument is based only on that, then you won and we have no argument. I know and Kamala also admitted that many people are still feeling the inflation impact of covid. That was why I responded to Ijebos that the best Kamala can do is to explain to these illiterates that she will fight those behind illegal price increments and that she will also put more money in their pocket through tax cut, child support and elder support. These are smart ideas that will move those who only understand economy through inflation and feeling. I think this is why she has almost wiped out Trump's lead on the Economy in the polls.
But, I think there is even more to it than that.
I don't think there is much policy Kamala can make or do to change that perspective, because that perspective isn't rational.
I think the generalized feeling is partisan just like everything else these days.

Fortune did a piece where they found that while 54% of people had an optimistic view of their financial situation, only 37% of people had a positive outlook of the US economy.
Think about that.
It's even contrary to what Raumdeuter is talking about. People aren't feeling they can't pay their bills, they are feeling other people won't be able to pay their bills. Just odd.

It's the same thing that happen pre and post Trump taking office. He downed the economy and so everyone trashed it, the minute he won he said it was the best economy and people started discussing it as such. He even tried to take credit for the economy before he got into office saying it was better because people knew he was going to win.

Americans’ economic pessimism contains a strange paradox: They’re feeling great about their own personal finances
...
The latest report to highlight this confounding attitude, an inaugural consumer sentiment survey from KPMG, found that 54% of Americans were optimistic about their financial situation, while only 37% were hopeful about the country’s economy overall. KPMG’s study, which surveyed 1,100 people across the country, is the latest to find a significant divergence between Americans’ relative optimism about their own financial health and their pessimism over what many consider to be a teetering economy. That split between individuals’ confidence in themselves compared to the economy has been prevalent for a few years now, even if it does appear to be diminishing, at least according to KPMG’s data.

from the bold, i say take your meds... you are sick. Democrats control 90% of the media, trump could not down the economy during obama, and now Biden. You are a reetard.

You are a complete reetard if you actually think people are complaining about other people and not themselves
These are reports about the number of people struggling to pay rent/mortgage but this iddiott thinks its their neighbors they are worried for

I've tried with you.
Everything you post is some emotional tripe.
There's no critical thought, just post after post trying not to be wrong, which you most likely are.

This is an article from 2018 under Trump, the years you said everyone was doing better and the economy was great.
Again, what is the difference?
Nothing. But it proves my point you emotional child

Now 70% of families look back to those 2018 times and wish it could be back given that its worse now.
You will need a little bit of education to understand that people can think $2:50 for gas in 2018 was bad until the get $4:50 in 2022
Now reflect back to those 2018 times and wish its back

Any policy that is towards the people and the people cannot feel it is not worth it. Personal economy is what these people live on a daily basis.
Only Economics illiterates think ALL about economy is inflation or feeling it. And only Economics illiterates think Economy rises and fall overnight. I will leave you to your ignorance on it. I have written enough about this, but you cannot grasp it...typical of most MAGA.

Thank you for calling them ILLITERATES.
raumdeuter:
So an illiterate man in Nigeria without these facts wont know that times are harder now compared to in previous years? And his money does not buy what he could buy in previous years?
So you are free to talk about illiterate man in Nigeria but I cannot call ignorant folks in US illiterates?

Maybe Kamala, Obama Clinton who agree the economy was better under Trump
Show me where Kamala, Obama, Clinton claims the economy was better under Trump because of what Trump did. Clinton even said Democrats add 50 million jobs compare to Republican 1 million in about 50 years I think.

Kamala has backed away from Bidenomics, why that? Do you think she doesn't have the data to double down on it?
Show me where Kamala backed away or denied Biden economics beyond you and Trump thinking so. Or you want her to continue to run on Biden Economics so you can claim she has no idea of her own? She is chattering her own economy agenda because she is not Biden and will not be Biden 2nd Term. If that is difficult for you to understand too, then take it as you wish.

All these tax cut, child support and elder support, The question they've been asking her is why didn't she do it in the 4yrs she was in the administration?
I just know you will ask this...Typical MAGA question.
Well they have done a lot already with massive job growth, lowest unemployment rate in decades, and inflation figures and interest rates now coming down; reason experts believe US economy is the envy of the world... But I know you disagree because you can't feel it.

The work of these economic expert is to translate into the lives of people. You live in Nigeria, How many of those economic expert figures and policies have translated into a better life for you? But you must not complain since you don't have a PhD in Economics

Let me ask you why are you complaining about Nigeria? This is what the world bank said about Nigerian economy 2 weeks ago. Do you know more than the experts from the worldbank?
The fiscal position is also improving, with the Federal Government's fiscal deficit narrowing to 4.4% of GDP in the first half of 2024 from 6.2% in the first half of 2023, helping to mitigate debt-related risks. Foreign exchange reserves – a buffer against external shocks – have risen from $32.9 billion at the end of 2023 to more than $38.8 billion by mid-October 2024
https://www.worldbank.org/en/news/press-release/2024/10/17/nigeria-staying-the-course-on-reforms-progress-amidst-challenges
Don't get me started on Nigeria Economy , you will need to open another thread for it.

1st, I am not a fan of Tinubu, I never voted for him as a Governor or as a president. He got few things right and a lot more wrong or should I say he implemented some right things in wrong ways. That said, I am too insulated to any Nigeria government policy to be affected or complain. I don't depend on Government utilities... from electricity, to water, or government health services, I even arrange my own security... As someone who use and buy gas in and out of Nigeria, I still find the price of Nigeria gas cheaper that I sometimes wish I can carry some with me when I travel to other places. But I see many hardships around me, and I help as much as I can.

As per your quote from world bank; it is 100% true and I believe in the figures, unlike you and other MAGAs, I see no reason experts will deliberately lie. But if you read it with open mind, then you will know they only talk about GDP growth and Foreign Exchange Reserve. Unlike you who think Economy is based on only one parameter, I don't. I know inflation is still going up, unemployment is still as high as ever, and the expert figures did not also talk about corruption in Nigeria. So only an Economics illiterate will ask why are people still complaining in Nigeria despite GDP growth and Foreign Exchange Reserve increase. For me, I know better.

You're not embarrassed yet? You posted an article of a stat(50% of Americans struggled to afford housing) that you said proved why people thought the economy was bad. But that same stat existed under Trump's economy which you said was so Amazing. So, which is it?
It does prove my point. Feelings aren't facts.

But you remind me of some older Nigerian men I know. You know those men from the older generation. Those men who feel they are incapable of being wrong. They marry people who never tell them they are wrong. Probably scared too. And so when they are wrong, which they always are, they gaslight and lie. So they have noone in their life who can speak wisdom into it.

That's you. I can't imagine the type of people someone like you could have in their lives. Probably the reason you spend hours upon hours online

Show me where Kamala, Obama, Clinton claims the economy was better under Trump because of what Trump did. Clinton even said Democrats add 50 million jobs compare to Republican 1 million in about 50 years I think.
Kamala - Distanced herself from Bidenomics, she no longer used the words, As Trump has taken over the word Bidenomics to mock her economic policies

Obama - Former President Barack Obama tore into claims that the economy under former President Donald Trump was good on Thursday, arguing, “Yeah, it was pretty good because it was my economy!”
(That is Obama agreeing that the economy under Trump was good only that Obama claimed it was his own economy)

Clinton - "I want to make three brief points," Clinton told voters at a rally for Harris in Muskegon Heights, Michigan on Wednesday. "You did pretty well when I was president, and I think I’m entitled to my opinion about who’d be better. Two, I don’t think it’s right to say that people have to vote for Donald Trump because the economy was better… I don’t believe that."

Okay who is giving the notion about the Naija economy currently to Nigerians? Should we blame the Naija opposition too for creating a wrong notion about the Nigerian economy if 70% of Nigerians say the economy is bad or worse than it used to be

Where did I say Nigeria economy is doing great? Even the article you posted didn't conclude that Nigeria whole economy is doing great. you are feeling sorry for your mom

I hope your gay partner is not beating you as well

IjeBos:
I grew up watching my dad mercilessly beat the hell out of my mom in front us and though we are in the West, she stayed with him because of cultural brainwashing. Money is a great separator. The problem is a lot of men are marrying women who they can control with money. But the world is changing and women can make their own money now. When a woman does make more money or makes enough to be independent, they lose that control. And some Nigerian men, can't successfully be in a relationship where it's even 60 40 in their favor. Why should someone continue to take abuse esp. if they are the breadwinner. Some Nigerian men somehow think God created them Gods to loom over woman. Their wives work 100 hours a week, are the breadwinners and their husbands expect them to still come home make dinner and serve them, while they sit at home.

Treat women how you would want someone to treat you. And pick someone who you want to be your partner, not your slave.

Can you point to World Bank data that "Nigeria Economy is doing great"?
Honestly, you should just STFU about Economics.
You post something that you are even too stupid to understand.
Not sure why you purposely show off your ignorance.
Just stop typing.. You'll be better off.
You cannot read, you cannot think, you cannot pay your own bills, you are useless to the society. You are a failure

ijebos is this true? I knew something about that story was personal to you. Do you think anyone who behaved that way and beats the shiit out of his wife should not be free in the society, he should either be in a zoo or belongs in a prison and what are the likely effects on the offsprings of such union?

The impact of domestic violence on children’s psychological well being on an emotional level is significant. Children often experience anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. They live in a state of constant fear and uncertainty, leading to feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. The long-term effects of domestic violence on children and their mental health can persist into adulthood, affecting their overall well-being and quality of life.

Read the below, everything checks out
That is sad. I feel bad about being so hard on him. He had no chance at a normal life given how he grew up and what he witnessed. Did you ever get psych help for what you witnessed?

Inflation is down, compared to when

I hope you apologize for this wrong facts and falsehoods

https://www.bls.gov/charts/employment-situation/civilian-unemployment-rate.htm

Unemployment pre pandemic 3.6% currently in October 2024 4.1%
Inflation is going down since covid, It is now almost at pre covid level last time I checked.

Biden created more jobs than your Trump, you are looking at instants but I am looking at the whole.

I mentioned interest rate because since covid it has now started going down compare to many countries still battling inflation and cannot reduce interest rates.

These are attributes that the economy is in the right direction as experts claimed.

This was what you said

ObaIgwe1:
Prove this.

Inflation is down now in US, Unemployment is far lower than it was at any time under Trump, Interest rate is low now. These are facts and it's the reason experts are praising US economy...the only thing is that you and many are not 'feeling it' yet.
Is there any data that supports this item in bold? If not will you apologize for lying to us and pushing fake data

I wasn't even actually talking about my Dad.
My dad is also an old school Nigerian man, who feels he is a God. Esp. when everyone calls him by his titled name.
But the distinction that didn't make him a good example was my Dad was also brilliant. Uber Educated (one of his degrees is in Economics) and successful both in Nigeria and the US.

He didn't fit the example of you. A stupid, uneducated person.
The guys I was referring to are usually cab drivers who walk around these Nigerian events showing off with the money their wives make.
Too stupid to know how little they know.
Their wives usually eventually leave them with stories of abuse.

I'm sure you understand those types as it most likely sounds familiar.

I se what the issue is clearly, You have daddy issues, you never had a decent man to look up to as a dad,

Any man who mercilessly beat the shiitt out of his wife is an animal and deserved to be in prison or in a zoo. I am sure you will agree with that. Don't you?

Psychologists say children who witness physical abuse can never grow up to be normal human. I am sure you will also agree
