Moral of story:
1 : Women please don’t ignore red flags in marriage.
The concubine temporarily separated from the guy for 4 months to stay with her parents. The guy came to beg her to return home into his life. Even though the Bible didn’t tell us why the lady left, it must have been something significant.There were red flags and warnings early in the marriage! If she had left the marriage, she would probably have lived into old age!

2:Never marry a selfish man who only cares about himself!
Men like this Levite and Lot who are ready to sacrifice daughters and wives for self preservation don’t deserve to be given the love of a woman! Lot’s wife likely knew this and that was why she likely left him by looking back and sadly becoming a pillar of salt!

3: Marry a man who will value and respect you even in death!
The Levite guy cut into pieces her dead body and sent it all over Israel out of foolish frustration and annoyance ! If you really loved the woman, u would have given her a befitting burial.

Men protect your wives and daughters! Love them selflessly just as Christ loved the church!
