I've been going through comments on this post and I'm very shocked.

I'm wondering why some people have not started fighting His Excellency Peter Obi for the comment Atiku made.

What's happening naa?
I think it's Obi that's making Atiku say all these.

Precisely. Rhetoric, start to finish, for a power hungry desperado who believes it is the right of his ethnic group to always be in charge of Nigeria despite the horrendous mess him and his kinsmen have made of their home region where Northerners now constitute 87% of the most poverty-ridden Nigerians alive today.

This is a man who luxuriated in Dubai for the 8 years Buhari was president , and totally lost his voice in that period, now pettily attacking PBAT daily.

Yes OO. We no go school and no sabi what is really pushing and motivating "born to rule" Atiku who has suddenly found his voice now a Southerner is President.
Exactly...it's sickening having people who ruined this country presenting themselves as Messiahs!

Those that liked your reposted comment are like you because they don't know anything and they are like robot, everywhere belle face.

If you've read what Atiku wrote, he did agreed that he supported the removal of fuel subsidy but he would have adopted different approach to its removal. He equally admitted that there could have been policy failure which could have made him restrategize to rethink about the policy.
Yes, 5 people can say they are going to Sokoto but one can decide to go by road, another by rail, the third may decide to go by bicycle, the fourth may go by water while the last man may decide to go through the air. Making excuses that other presidential candidates claimed to also remove the fuel subsidy but forget to also know that each of them may have different approach to removing it as illustrated above. You guys should stop leaving substance and chasing fly.
Let me even tell you this. Some of them may even remove it and later reverse it if they see the impact of its removal on the people. That should be another angle many of you Tinubu's supporters have refused to see.

Meanwhile, you will be a very bad administrator. If you're against the debt forgiveness secured by OBJ's government. Saying the money they spent to get the debt relief was a waste than progress makes you a joker and unknowledgeable person.
Please how much was expended to the huge relief given to the country? You're a bad administrator and you deserve not to lead even a home, let alone group of people. For point of note, there was no single penny collected by Paris club to get the debt relief, except the miscellaneous expenses incurred, which is a normal thing in business transaction. If you're the president as at that time, you will not have sought for the debt relief and the debt would still be hanging on the nation. Just I had said, you're a bad administrator and you deserve not to lead any viable group.

Please are you also comparing the OBJ/Atiku's economy regime to this ache Tinubu's economy regime? Yes, no doubt monies were wasted on power reforms but you cannot compare the economy viability of their regime to this fragile economy that have turned citizens to IDP in their own country where over 130m citizens are now in poverty line and over 88m in an extreme and excruciating poverty.
Most of the reforms we are enjoying today, are the reforms of OBJ and Atiku's government. Is it that of the banking sector or stock exchange or on education or security. OBJ and Atiku were on top of their job and the country wasn't broken like this during their time.

I don't want to write lengthen words but you must remember that Atiku left government over 16 years ago and he is not the one at the helm of affair of the country. Instead of you to exert your energy on the person at the helm of affair, your concern is the person that left office for long. Where lie your sense here.
Tinubu is the president whether good or bad, the buck must just stop at his table and not at the table of Atiku. You cannot ruin the system and still be complaining about the person that left government for years. It makes no sense at all. Face the person you voted to administer governance and not abstract.

I actually stop reading where he said he would've manage resource of the country very well by cutting down government expenses. Atiku and manage resources can never be on the same page, so he is simply lying.

The reality is that, all these old politicians including Obi can't move the country forward.

Use your brain

Or tinubu has used it to smoke igbo

Atiku hasn't been president, the way osinbajo was VP and everyone knew he is better than buhari

Did buhari allow him to work?

About everything he said.

Atiku is a chronic heavy spender, just like his friend Tinubu, he would've equally compensate alot of people with public appointments and used state resources to capture the oppositions.

That statement alone indicate he was lying about everything because he can't do Jack other than following the same old pattern his friend is currently following.

The question is, when he was the second in command of the great country, what did he do? He was an insider then and could have worked with obj more to better naija but we all knew how that panned out back then.

Atiku ain’t just the man for the job.
What is Shettima doing? I don't think many of you know the constitution of this country at all. Vice president has no roll, except the one assign to him by the president. Know this and be at peace. That is why they call the president the grand commander of the federal republic of Nigeria and no one has that nomenclature attach to his name, except the president.

How has Shettima helped Tinubu to better the nation? If you can answer that, then, what you asked is embedded in it.
It seems many of you does know the constitutional duty of vice president, that the constitution doesn't give duty to VP. He's just an appendage to Mr. President. Whatever the president tells him to do, are the only things he can do.
Know you constitution and stop jam talking.

You know how it goes – when you're watching a football game, it's easy to spot players' mistakes from the stands, right? Spectators love to criticize players, but let's be honest, most couldn't do half of what those pros do if they had the chance. That's basically how it is with opposition parties. They see everything crystal clear when they're out of power and can point out problems all day long. But, once they get voted in, they can't solve those very issues, even in eight years! Buhari is a case study. I'm done letting any politician sway me. They're all just empty vessels, if you ask me.

Peace!
Then you mean to say, Nigerians are empty vessels and no Nigerian can save Nigeria. That's just what I can conclude your submission to.
O ma se o. That some Nigerian politicians are bad that doesn't mean some are not good. What we have refused to do is identifying them but instead we prefer to play into the hands of these political ojelus that are more capitalists than any other thing.
Let me tell you this, we Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. God doesn't do mistake in creating us to this country but we have refused to be wise in making decisive decisions that will better the Nigerians and Nigeria.

Why don't you do all these between 1999 to 2007 when you ND obj was in power instead of rhat you and obj established your own universities to detriment of Nigeria universities. You led the biggest sake of Nigeria Assess. Have you forgotten Halliburton case?
Krank head can never understand issue like this because they are weighty. You can now go back and reread the news again because it was clearly stated there that their regime began the phase out of the subsidy regime and they were at the second phase in 2007 before they left office but Yar'adua came and jettisoned the process and that brought the country to square one again.
I am sure you didn't read that portion because you were quick to comment against Atiku as usual.

Nigerian politicians are mostly empty vessels. It's been 68 years since Nigeria discovered oil, yet we still can't manage our resources properly. Look at the UAE—they discovered oil in 1958, and now they're lightyears ahead of us in development. Our politicians just keep rehashing promises from past failed governments, but nothing changes. We've been played for too long—it's time we wise up!

Sure, some politicians might have good intentions, but the system's too corrupt for them to make any real impact. If they try to go against the grain, they get shut down. That's why the good ones end up doing nothing. We don't prefer suffering—it's just that 'democracy' doesn't work for us. With low literacy levels, only a handful of us can make educated decisions about choosing candidates.

The uneducated majority keeps electing bad leaders. What do market women know about governance, anyway? Politicians manipulate these vulnerable Nigerians by acting down-to-earth—frying akara or eating corn on the streets—as a way of winning over their hearts, just to get elected. These uneducated, who shouldn't even be voting if not for democracy, might end up casting ballots for a politician who bought them off with as little as ₦2,000. They know nothing about policies or manifestos! Furthermore, Democracy also stops us from hiring skilled technocrats because politicians reward their party members and friends who helped rig elections with political appointments.

Any politician pretending to be a Messiah is deceiving you. All they care about is fulfilling their lifelong ambition of becoming president, governor etc and what they stand to gain, nothing more. They'll make lots of noise (promises) but won't solve our problems. The real solution lies with us, the youth.

Peace!

True words comrade. You nailed it very accurately. But very grouse is, many so educated Nigerians also compounded the whole situation by being instruments in the hands of the bad rulers, as I won't call them leader because they are not leading but ruling. Rulers leave their subjects vulnerable to different attacks while leaders will always want to lead his sheep to great haven.

As I say, the educated ones have not helped matter in this country, they have been willing vessels mobilizing this army of illiterates for the politicians. If we are truly ready to take our country bad for the good of the citizens, it won't be a rocket science to do.

Well, no doubt there is no perfect human being but there are fearer ones that can be rely upon everywhere in our communities. Until we are able to assemble these people together, we will continue to be swimming in defeat and defeat upon defeat. And the good news is, they are in every religion, tribe and section and not limited to one denomination.

Lol, let's consider this, everyone is caught up in a system run by corrupt politicians, including educated and uneducated Nigerians. They've even used poverty as a weapon, making people desperate and easy to control. Those educated folks you talked about are underpaid on purpose, making them eager for any small benefit, like fowls scrambling for grain.

Moreover, well-intentioned politicians and these educated Nigerians are in the same boat; they're both stuck in this corrupt system. If they try to make changes or go against the system, they get shut down. Their hands are tied. It's unfair to generalize that all educated Nigerians are complicit in supporting bad leaders. The system has made many of them dependent, so naturally, those controlling their livelihoods have power over them. Our hope lies in the educated youth who remain independent from the politicians and the corrupt system.

Peace!
