Well, the Ejiofor Family have 3 boys in La Masia. David Obinna (14), Divine Ikenna (12) and Destiny Kosiso (9). The first 2 are forwards it seems.

Honestly, it's hard but time will tell.

ChrisKels:
Barca no fit just buy one Nigerian youngster to help us build one quality midfielder?

Looking at the plethora of crazy midfielders they just harnessed recently and the abundance still waiting to explode from La Masia, I'm left very envious of Spain and I wish they could help us build just one. angry

I don't bank on kids born and bred abroad. The only players I have my money on are the players born/bred in Nigeria and moved abroad because of football

My tots too ..I don’t want a situation where he would leave Atlanta with dis crazy form he is at the moment ,now move to somewhere he will need to find his feet first b4 performing.i would rather want him to move to psg; I believe he will be an instant hit in ligue one

Except if mancity wish to sign him sha as a replacement for failing doku and grealish
My thoughts too

However, PSG is not a suitable club for him. Would've loved Bayern for him sha

Lookman isn't just a prolific winger in goal scoring but also a chance creator

Guys in the English FA would be scratching their heads. How did they let this man (Lookman) slip through their fingers? Lookman has turned out to be the player they probably thought Tammy Abraham would become.

I bet if Lookman himself knew he could turn out this good, the way Tammy Abraham backed himself to be the next Harry Kane and Tomori that played a few games for Chelsea and thought himself the next John Terry... He would have waited for England.

Very true...
Moral lesson from this: regardless of the country you play for... If your are good you are good, and will shine

Where dem Ebuehi and Idowu….that Argentina friendly performance na real fluke, even as at that time they are not better than Aina but football sometimes just happens
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by chrisooblog: 12:30pm On Nov 05, 2024
Aina has worked hard to complement his talent.

I rated Ebuehi but injuries did him bad. Idowu na one hit wonder.

Ebuehi was decent sha, Idowu just flash like NEPA then disappeared.

But currently, Ola Aina is better than any version of the both of them.

Aina grew better in d game unfortunately he’s not a gk ,so we might not enjoy dis new Aina for a very long time in football career..

B4 ainas bane was easy loss of concentration during games resulting to costly errors

There's no need for the bold but what do I know, as they say only those who are something can identify those who are engaged in same thing maybe that is what is playing out here.

Still on the matter of Foreign Borns....

I read somewhere where someone was saying where are Ebuehi and Brian Idowu? Even went as far as calling Idowu a one hit wonder'
Now I hear Akpoguma dey complain say Nigeria used and dumped him. Adarabioyo too is making weird statements like say na im birthright to start. The audacity!!! Anyways let me not get derailed from my point.

The point I wanted to make is that at the end of the day, only about 30 players can be invited and only 11 players get to play at a time. The fundamental part of assembling a team is that the team gels. But what I have seen us do over the years is invite the next wonder and the next wonder after that forgetting that all we eventually have is names. As we all know, names dont play soccer, unless you are a Messi or CR7.

Now to the issue on ground, we need to get players that add to our philosophy and not the next big thing. We dont even have the coaching man power to get the best out of these players. The excuse? Oh the team only meets 3 times in a year...blah blah blah. Lets not also spare NFF from all this mess. At the end of it all, if we dont make our house right, these are the kind of statements that we will be dealing with in the nearest future. We will end up "using and dumping" them, even if they were never a fit into our philosophy from the start
