Kindly advise on what investment is best for 1m.
Firstly, with financial instruments-
Stocks, bonds, mutual funds, t bills, etc;
As well as forex, commodities, etc.

Then with the real sector. For example, how does one invest in an existing business?

If you have space, buy goats or pigs but goat is actually easy to maintain and can eat anything but in terms of reselling, pigs are more profitable.

Often the challenge is not the money but the person handling the money, some can take the 1 m for example to 1k or even 500H which is backward in division and subtraction while some can take it forward to multiples of different amounts based on their capacities in terms of knowledge, frugality, patience, money management and wealth creation skills, and understanding of growth.

There are options of decisions one takes like a choice of routes that will lead up while there are others that will just end in continuous depletion of one seed funding. It's based on knowledge and acumen.

A typical civil engineer will seek for job to get money and he gets it big only to use the money to get a car, rent a good apartment and then the cycle breaks until another job opportunities comes but a typical lawyer or accountant in the process of making decisions for clients discovers that one can register a company to get contracts worth billions of naira, even though he does not have money he understands the process, reach out to his clients and begins the process of forming an engineering company that eventually get contracts. But the engineer doesn't know anything about that which is in a way pathetic.

Then the typical Engineers complain of which I am part of complain that outsiders get the job and use them to make money.
