For example , I clicked that thread posted by Iamoyindamola and I noticed it’s the same video I had watched earlier where she was talking about some African countries demanding for reparations per the slave trade years .

That lady is a British lady and not just a random British lady but one of the few people who have a say in how government’s funding is spent . She literally said “ We need to put the UK first “. She has chosen a side already , there’s no need for me or you as a Blackman to start getting vexed with her for siding with the people that got her bread buttered .

I’m sure she didn’t just start talking about Africa in the interview , the interviewer definitely asked questions that led to that particular one . Indians and Africans have different sets of values ; they were also affected by colonialism differently .

That sense of patriotism, the communal lifestyle , the urge to identify with their roots; all of that works well for the Indian community anywhere they are. Same cannot be said for us .
