A friend of mine was supposed to take her Citizenship test in a couple of weeks.
She's Nigerian and got a visa for work.
She was having a hard time with the questions (not sure why), so I was tutoring her on overarching concepts. Thought it would help her understand them better.
One day we were talking about civics and she told me she was a Trump supporter.
I've known this woman for 3 years, we hang regularly and was shocked. I get it, it's probably religion, but still either you're not keeping up with world affairs or you're comfortable with his character.
Anyhow, I quietly started ghosting her. Have zero tolerance for Trump Supporters.
She called a bunch of times before the election. Didn't pick up.
I finally spoke with her earlier this week the day before the election and told her she should study it herself in a kind way.
She called me about 5 times yesterday.
Finally picked and she was freaking out. She told me that a friend told her that Trump will probably change the naturalization test like he did last time and make it much harder for people to get citizenship. That she wanted to makes sure she passed the test this time. That I should help her.
I said, cool, let me call you later.
Ain't calling her.
I'm sure if she devotes her time she'll pass. And if she doesn't, oh well. Should have thought about that support for Trump.
