Correct info. That we are the highest in GDP transformation and production in Africa and we have much inflows than the rest of other countries doesn’t mean we are the richest. Our population eats up much than what we produce

Our projected GDP this year was $257B. Almost 50% of our 2014 GDP which was already a damn shame. Only last month, it was even projected lower than that at just $199B.

Tinubu has destroyed this country and the APC whores do not know just how much we have all been fuccked

Nigeria's wealth circulates among a few people. If you calculate GDP per capita, Nigeria should be among the poorest countries of the world because this country has a lot of poor people

Find shame.

It is a thing of shame that we are a country where the average citizen produces $904 of value in a given year whille Seychelle produces $17,000. GDP is a stupid metric that blinds those without critical reasoning skills.

Re: Nigeria Not Among Top 15 Richest African Countries (picture) by moppie123(m): 9:55pm On Nov 08, 2024
The underlying reason for Nigeria’s poor FDI lies not only in its sheer population size but in the limited purchasing power of our population. A nation of 1 million people with strong buying power would attract more investment than one of 200 million with limited economic strength. Unfortunately, the past decade has seen an alarming decline in the standard of living for professionals. For instance, a professor’s monthly salary, once equivalent to around $1,500–$1,700, has now dropped to less than $200.

The erosion of the middle class, which has largely resulted from a series of hasty and poorly considered governmental policies, has further dampened economic growth. The middle class serves as the backbone of a thriving economy, driving demand, innovation, and consumption. Without a robust middle class, Nigeria struggles to attract and sustain FDI, and potential investors are deterred by an economy where disposable income is increasingly rare, leading to weaker markets for goods and services. This failure to recognise the critical role of the middle class in fostering economic growth is a significant misstep that continues to impact the country's development.

Don’t be naive guys. Anyone could come up with bs analysis. You wouldn’t know the worth of your country until some foreigners gives you a lowdown of your country. Nigeria is rich & beautiful. Top 2 richest in Africa.

If its rich in natural resources, I will agree with you. But if its in the cost of living and life expectancy, then we still have a long way to go.

This is PER CAPITAL. The Nigerian population is the reason for the low ranking. 200 Million people.

That's why I keep telling people that Nigeria is a poor country because the population is way too much for what the country makes.
