I know a store that in the 90s would hire over 100 staff every summer just to get through May-August. Their records were often not found when they came back the next summer not to talk of 30-40 years later. McD Franchises are even worse on record keeping.

If you want to manufacture abroad then you are denying Americans those jobs. If every job you are looking for the cheapest labor to do it then Americans will have no jobs.

I'm concerned about possible negative outcomes from tariffs proposed by President Trump. The USA in 1980 wasn't trading with China or Russia and our standard of living was still better than Nigeria

My view though is that the USA is engaged in a Survival War now and EVERYTHING is on the table, including some things that may be detrimental to free trade. The USA must do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING to win, and that means ANYTHING. That's all we want.
