Ebonyi state needs massive investment in education to lift them from been presently the most uneducated state in the east and the whole of southern Naija. What they need is to uplift their children from massive illiteracy and get into massive agriculture. Check out, Anambra is all round state and been the second most urbanized state after Lagos, yet maintaining top in WAEC/ Jamb and several international competitions.

You never voted him in the first place, stop being stupid. Someone who returned close to $150m to the state treasury and billions of naira. Which has not been equalled by anyone. Someone who transformed a state that was a very low GDP state to a high GDP state.

Life expectancy, especially in the southeast, is becoming so alarmingly low! You hardly see people live up to 70 these days in the southeast! Most people now die in their 60s!

Buhari is far older than Ogbonnaya Onu but he's still alive and kicking while Onu has just bitten the dust!

Ojukwu is far gone while Gowon is still here!

Obasanjo is still strong and kicking while Ifeanyi Ubah died at just 52!

This pattern, to me, is attributable to our poor healthcare system and health-seeking attitudes of our people. We like to boast of having the best hands in healthcare yet the quality and quantity of lives of our people is not reflective of what we claim to have.

The reason is not far fetched. We have the most disorganized (arguably) healthcare system in igboland and our people are more neck-deep into self medication due to the culture of open drugs markets in the region. So, people hardly seek professional healthcare until their conditions have gotten complicated before they seek professional healthcare services.

We honestly need to educate our people to change their attitudes towards healthcare if we must improve on our life expectancy. We also need to immediately close down all unregulated open drug markets to cut down on self medication.

Sorry for digressing but we honestly need to do something about our healthcare system to improve both quantity and quality of life of our people. I know that laymen would not understand the points I'm making here but if you know, you know.

Look at the local man. Show me where Anambra can't survive without federal allocation and where Enonyi survives. BudgIT didn't say anything, you lied. Post it. It is unfortunate that even Ebonyi is dragging with Anambra. Presently Ebonyi have one developing city which is Abakaliki. Doctors from idemili North LGA is more than the whole Doctors in Ebonyi. Thesame goes to all professionals. Ebonyi is the least developed state in the east and in southern Nigeria. Umahi tried in Abakaliki but the rest of the state is still very poor
