How Is Power Supply In Your Area. by Nazgul(op): 7:26am On Nov 11, 2024
I don't know if it's just me. But since that fist grid collapse last week, Power supply in my area in Kosofe Local Government has dropped drastically.

Yesterday we just had light for less than 2 hours and as I'm typing this, we still don't have light.

So how's power supply in your area, has it improved or has it gotten worse.

people should be asked whether they are to be added to BAND A or Not.The idea of adding people to Band A unaware and at the end of the month you come up with a humongous amount of bill should be discouraged.Currently now as I'm typing,we are at loggerhead with E.E.D.C. They claimed some of their staffs were beaten while they were on disconnection tour or routine whatever, and because of that they took our high tension switch away.

You can be seeing light everyday in the street opposite your street
And not have light in your own street for 3 months but no panic

Onitsha, Odoakpu area,
We enjoy at least 23 hours of power supply daily. Infact, I've forgotten the last time power was interrupted in the area.

Check or ask those living within St John Street axis, down to Mary Elm's missions hospital by Onuma Street, through Anionwu street.
That's if you're conversant with those places I mentioned.
I moved there in early 2023, immediately after my Msc at Unizik Awka, and the power supply there has been awesome. My guy tipped me about it though, and I'm not disappointed.

They're giving us light like they don't want us to get addicted. Not up to 4 hours a day.
Sometimes, none at all.

You see all these Band A we've been hearing about, it's just an organized scam by the government to rip off the masses.

Cos when they increased the tariff of Band A users by over 200%, the first question I asked myself was how sustainable is this project. Nigeria is generating less than 7,000WW, and Lagos alone needs about 6,000 to be able to experience uninterrupted power supply. Currently power generation has dropped to less than 4,000MW. Anybody would know it's just a matter of time before our government to renegade on their agreement.

And I was right. Less than 6 months after the insane tariff hike, Band A customers are seriously lamenting about how the government isn't fulfilling their own side of the bargain by supplying them power for less than 20 hours per day. Some of them record less than 8 hours of power supply. Yet they're still expected to pay the hiked tariff.

Honestly, Nigeria is nothing but a huge crime scene.

Re: How Is Power Supply In Your Area. by morikee: 9:32am On Nov 11, 2024
Terrible since the coming of this present Government

Paying Band A tariff of 200+ with a Promise of minimum of 20hrs supply daily yet getting 3 to 5 hours daily
