If we had a government, every embassy would be ordered to refund all or 90% of all rejected Visa fees. Just imagine the display of ignorance and the number of people that liked it. This is how we ignorantly fan the emblems of hatred against our government and nation. Where in the world are Visa fees refunded? If you are ignorant and hate Nigeria and or her government, stop recruiting people to do same.
Honestly, the shallowness of the average Nigerian youth is shocking!

No basic understanding of how the world works.

I cried for a whole month, when I was rejected by the US embassy in 2017.
My parents were given visa, but I was rejected.
It was as if the whole world came crashing right Infront of me.
My brother sent invitation to the three of us,but they had to leave me behind and travel.

But you support domestic violence against women. Calling it discipline. 🤷🏽‍♀️
Who knows if you might have ended up in jail by now if they gave you visa? Just think about it

If I were you, I’d see it as God proactively saving you from a future that you wouldn’t want.
You're not nice at all 😂 😂 😂

Google.com
Google is just a search engine that returns GIGO information. I'm asking for official data/report such as from home office, immigration, visa processing centers et al.

Google search can return me to even this your post on nairaland or any post for that matter that anyone put online in respect to the key words. If you're giving references, you state the references in its original "https://..... format that leads straight to the subject.

If I copy Google.com to a web browser, it will only take me to Google homepage and not to the reference/source of the subject matter.

I hope this clarifies on how references/sources are to be quoted.

That's not true. The Chinese embassy do refund you 50% of your visa fee if you're rejected
Japan embassy will only ask you to pay for visa once they are sure of giving you the visa. You don't pay upfront

We need to be realistic. Japan and China and some other countries can afford to do that but western countries can't do that for obvious reasons.

Can you compare the number of people trying to go to China and Japan with the number of people trying to go to the US or the west in general?

People know that they will lose their visa fees if they are rejected yet hundreds of thousands of people still apply, then imagine what will happen if they start refunding for rejection, my brother millions of people will start applying since they have nothing to lose and it will become unmanageable for these embassies. Let's put ourselves in their shoes naa.

Is this how you give reference to your projects in school? So you leave your lecturer to go dig it on search engine.

STFU man are you my lecturer, if you don't know how to move around Google better say so than proving you're ignorant.

In the first screenshot I just shared you can see Google referencing the punch that over 150,000 Nigerians applied for visa in 2023, the second screenshot Google referenced Intel point that just over 7300 visa were approved, in the 3rd screenshot Google referenced the US embassy website in Nigeria about the cost of non refundable application fee.

I'll not take you to the river and still force you to drink water, if you think the statistics is fake then you can go to the US EMBASSY.

How much will this cost?
That will depend on the category of visa you apply for and they are in dollars

I remember when i was denied American visa 12 yrs ago, the officer appeared to have made up his mind even before calling me. He didnt even spend up to 3 mins asking me stupid questions.
He denied me.

I was sick for almost a week . I lost weight like a prisoner. Food was like sh!t to me.
Since then, I've never bothered to apply again

To hell with America

I am probably the only person that was denied, and yet relieved. Lots of horror stories from everyone that I was already scared before the interview. When she said denied, I said thank you and was even relieved to be done with the whole mess. My Mom said...why don't you get a new passport and try the next day, I said no way. Lets go to Ibadan. I need to be out of here. By the way, I paid for my own visa doing house to house tutoring after delay getting into University from not meeting cut off, and a long UI strike at that time. I always tell everyone Chelsea Clinton is my girlfriend and I will go to the US. She is processing my visa. Their jaws dropped when my dream fantasy became real.

I dusted myself, prepared to start UI after a 9-month strike...went back to my Agbada 3 months later with the "I don't give a fu*k attitude whether you give me or not." Then I got it Lol..1st one, I went to Lagos, suit and tie very uncomfortable dressing with my Mom and 2nd time, I traveled alone...If you see how I held the passport-visa alone on my way back to Ibadan lol. I kept looking at it..like, wow, I got this visa. Then I remembered I had no way to pay for ticket. One day I will write a whole book...God help me. I am the stone the builder rejected. I am now the cornerstone.

Everyone was shocked...even my relatives in the US. How did you do it? I did not do it...God did it. I arrived US before discovering I even got 50% tuition scholarship lol.

The sooner people first understand the Visa requirements... and the interview process ... the better would be their chances of obtaining a visa. As it is .... most people go through a "visa agent" . You should be asking yourself ..."if he can't get one for himself ...how can he get one for me?" Doesn't mean he can't do good paper work ... but what are the chances? Many people get denied from jump ... the agent's paperwork. Do we ever cry about their fees? ... to sabotage our chances? If you are a literate person...there is no need for a visa agent. The visa agent writes one thing .... you really didn't take time to learn and understand everything he wrote as answer to each section. Interview time ...you appear before the Visa Officer ... you see him/her and as an ordinary clerk ...when in reality the VO is an interrogator ... specially trained to determine one thing ... if the applicant ..you ... would travel and return...or not return. When they see discrepancies in your paperwork...they don't waste time in interview ...you are pretty much immediately rejected. Then there are those with great paperwork... but fail to back up one point or other in the interview. As in ... let's say they ask you an "innocent question" .... "What's your date of birth?" ... you should be rattling out day month and year immediately... that's not something for you to think about. Should you pause ... and show that you have to go to memory before answering.... that's a strike against you ....and so it goes as they compare your answers to see if they go along with the paperwork... how sincerely you answer the questions ..etc. Then wen sometimes wonder how some people with like nothing are granted visas but you with everything rejected. Do your research very well before going for a visa....if not ... it's no different from going to the Casino ... they do not have a refund policy...so why complain if you lose?
