Imagine getting expensive epileptic power, and the alternative is to fuel gen at over 1K per liter.

I always shake my head when I go on twitter see all those blue tick influencers (i.e those based abroad and the few based in Nigeria but political aides) gaslighting people in this hard times.

Some of them will even claim that hardship has always been in Nigeria and there willl always be hardship in the country . They feel the moment u point out how hard things are, u are doing it from the place of "hate" for their principal and not because things are hard for us all generally.

I got my laptop powerbank in 2022 for 70 or 80k and that lady hasn't gotten same product restocked in a while. Though a month ago she told me she has another laptop powerbank. If he checks on Jumia, he would see powerstations by Ecoflow and Oraimo. That is the one I want to get, as the current powerbank (though portable), came with preselected ports and none matches my laptop.

It's all about his budget.
Ecoflow is Tier 1. As is Bluetti.
Locally assembled is at the lowest tier.
In between are the Yoobao, Eden Power, Oraimo (most of them pretty much share the same Chinese ODM suppliers)...
Whatever he chooses, capacity and recharging duration are the most important factors.

At a certain budget, it might even be better to have a micro solar setup.
He should consider the vast range of solutions then go for whichever fits his need and budget.

On laptop, M Macs and current-gen Intel Core Ultra are the battery champs.
If budget does not allow and his current gadget is fine, then he should hold out until next year for discounts.
If he does not want perfect to be the enemy of good, he can get any of the previous gen, but it is a material downgrade in power management and he absolutely should not break the bank for it.

Lastly, the power supply thing is seasonal. So he's essentially getting stuff for the subpar December-April months.
Nothing beats moving to a proper prioritized district like Blue.RayDick's, if that's an option.

Depends. If 95% of the posters on this thread say lagos is smelly, they are simply stating their experience. However go to the politics thread or other threads and it is about an agenda.

We can talk about how messed up some things are in lagos. And we will be laughing with each other about it. Go to a different thread and they will be laughing at you about it.

Twitter is usually full of people with agenda so the response to almost any negative comment is likely to be defensive.
