Consider establishing a pharmacy or a similar business in Nigeria. Build it up to about 100 million naira, and then migrate together with your wife. Don’t let the situation in Nigeria cause a break in your family

Can 5 millions take ur dere.
You talking about citizenship here. 5 million can get you there, but it won’t package you to become a citizen. You will need to work as an illegal to gather money to make moves.

My wife is a registered nurse.

I want her to travel abroad for further studies, I have some savings already. And I eat. #1.5 m+ monthly.

Please can you suggest best countries she can go for studies and also with prospects of getting permanent residency soonest.

Hope it doesn't end in tears. One brother I know who went the same path is now in tears, having been kicked out from house by wife in Europe. Brother is now squatting and doing two jobs to pay child support.

Sponsor yourself outside, that's if you didn't marry your wife a virgin or plan the whole family relocation. Or You can setup a business for her, with some part of your savings, then bring her after you settle.
The possibility of her cheating on you over there is high like 90%, she may still bring you along after studies to complement your goodwill but your marriage may never be the same, which would lead to divorce/separation.

Dude you can't take care of person in obodo oyinbo working in nigeria... that's a joke....unless you meant, your wife has to find a job while she studies and take care of your son, that will be too much for her.
I have a kid and a wife, my monthly bills are not less than $7k dollars, I mean everything,...monthly ooo.
Convert am to Nigeria, can you afford that monthly?
Just your son haircut na like $40 every too weeks... unless u want make him carry dreadlocks.
Insurance and car payment for them, na like $400 monthly, least affordable car oo.
Just monthly house rent, lowest, 1 bedroom, including utilities, $1400... e don pass your m9nthly income..
Dude, Nigeria operates on animal level.
With #1.5 million, you be boss for nigeria. But with that here, you definitely going to be a homeless on the street
The best way is to do it reverse. You go first, secure land, then come carry them. You can comfortably take care of them in Nigeria while working abroad
Na you talk my mind.

Yes, the plan is for her to get permanent residency, and the family may join later on.

Nigeria is not stable, we may seem to be okay today, but what happens in the next 2 - 3 years is so uncertain.
It’s good you state your, at least, one year budget ( what you have saved and planned to add to the savings) for this so that people can advise you better.

Saying you earn 1.5m won’t give clearer picture of that could be enough for the package.

Hi, are universities in Brazil great for someone in tech courses? And what's the job search like?
Yes very good for tech.
For job search, look at LinkedIn and you will see that Brazil got a whole lot of tech jobs because of close proximity to USA and Canada.
You can be living in Brazil and be working with companies in USA and Canada and be earning in dollars.
This is quite better than what you would get in Europe as a techie.

Good one.

I am sure there are many Nigerian bachelors with no "papers" that will help her acclimatize to the new environment.

You are taking one of the greatest risks a married Nigerian man will take. But pardon my ignorance if you are already tired of the marriage.

Why do you want her to go through the study route?

As an RN she needs to look at a Particular country, their requirements and write the equivalent exams . Canada, UK, Australia and even the USA are open to RNs any day anytim

Don’t start what you can’t finish . 1.5million Naira monthly is like 500k now in Nigeria . You can work her into one of the teaching hospital to work . Then she can go for a course in a reputable institution around then she can upgrade to a Matron. That position can fly you all out of the country .

I would advised her to come to the UK to further her education or she can sit for an exam and get her nursing pin, so she can qualify to work as a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) in any mental hospital because it gives money. With the amount you have, you can pay a deposit fee and borrow money for proof of funds. When she gets to the UK, she can always work as a part-time student until you decide to join her. Meanwhile, I would also advice she leave your child at home because nursing a child as a lone parent here is not easy, unless you'll wrk for 20 hours and use the money to pay for a child minded.

You can send your wife abroad with just 6 million nair……. What you have is more than enough………

……. However , note that it’s not wise to make money in Nigeria and send to someone in the UK to spend…….

…… with that caveat, you wife can be in the UK by January as I can assist you with the admission and visa processing.
Which university is cheap in the UK now for postgraduate program?

He will not be able to support the wife financailly from Nigeria with 1.5m salary , his wife needs to pay school fees, rent, bills and feeding etc

The wife can only work 20hrs a week which is not enough to pay rent, biils and save for school fees. The op still have to pay his rent and bills in Nigeria still on the 1.5M
Thanks for spelling that out. Your point of view is understandable.

Assuming she's indeed a nurse, if the OP can get his wife to the United States AND his wife is faithful and loyal, she can make a good life for herself and her family within 5 years, definitely a better standard of living than anyone can get with even ₦2.5m per month in Nigeria. Previously this would have been the case NO MATTER HOW she gets here, no matter the circumstances, especially if she gives birth on US soil.

Now she has to enter LEGALLY....because conditions are expected to change with the election victory of President Donald Trump and his MAGA movement. It remains to be seen if the campaign promises he made will actually be fulfilled. It's early days yet. We wait.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

Think it well....

Wish you luck!
