Some lawyers and the judges are egregiously corrupt. They work together with the police ...Efcc men aren't left out in this matter . The case you brought before the court will determine what the court will decides . I recall the case of Adedoyin,a man who suppose to be charged for the murder of an hotel lodger but by the time police charged him the court ,it was a very silly charge that will attract light sentence under the law. Thank God that Femi Falan ( SAN ) took over the case to review and prosecute the man . The matter would have ended in wuruwuru way .

If Nigeria had irrefutable evidence in the Cheney case, Americans would have served Cheney up on a platter of gold to Nigeria back then. Which laws did he violate? And why was your EFCC all too willing to throw away the charges —circumvent those laws you claim he violated— after it was offered money, not by Cheney, but by Halliburton? Read what EFCC itself said back in 2010 about why it decided to drop the charges.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) should be dissolved. The laws enabling EFCC should be repealed.
In practice, EFCC is of no benefit to the general Nigerian population.
EFCC was created just to please the west in general, and the United States in particular.

Halliburton, the company, is not Cheney, the individual. Nigeria's decision to supposedly drop direct charges against Cheney, the individual, because the company, Halliburton, paid fines to Nigeria, is a clear indicator that Nigeria really had nothing on Cheney, to begin with. 🤔

The U.S. charged Haliburton to court and punished them with severe fines.

So, how many local companies in Nigeria have been sanctioned by the Nigerian government over engaging in bribery and corruption deals with Nigerian politicians? Wouldn't it make more sense to say that the Nigerian Government should deal fairly with foreign companies— equally absolve them of crimes in much the same way it does local Nigerian companies of crimes committed? I am just saying that the Nigerian government, if it is going to flout the law where it pertains the local companies, should also be willing to do so with the foreign companies.
