You know, for people clamoring for equality and taxing the rich more, I'm curious, why y'all insistent on exploiting illegal immigrants to perform such jobs? Let's stop this "whitewashing" and call it what it is---exploitation. You need to exploit poor immigrants to do the dirty job.

Not only would you exploit said individuals through labor, you'll also exploit them to contribute to Social Security. Jesus! As the self-acclaimed morality police, y'all are really nasty. Colonizing exploiters!

Is that the best all you can do? Is that the only strategy there is---exploitation? Can't y'all think of something else besides this 21st century slavery?

Americans don't like your plan. Maybe they no-longer want to exploit people.
You have your homework. Go back to drawing board and figure something out. And, make una stop they disturb us danallah!

Haba! After all the bragado, una lose. Una don con turn Apostle John wey dey drop apocalyptic revelations upon revelations.

X will not collapse. Ya'll already wailed when Musk took over, and it's doing okay.. More than okay.

There's Racism on X? You put a large demographic of people from all walks of life in one room, what do you expect? Kumbaya? There's tribalism pro max on Nairaland, why don't you leave?
You all have exchanged derogatory non-sense with each other on this very thread, but you don't leave, why?

X is the perfect reflection of what America is, you could also leave America and come down here where it's less racist. We don't have racism down here, just occasional lack of health, electricity, education, etc. Feel free to join us, anytime! grin grin grin If you so much love Africa.

Abegi, write me a book of lamentations!
1.) You've assumed too much. My argument isn't with the pay, it's the contradiction of Trump supporters who say inflation is high, yet want to create policies to make it higher. Or say they don't want immigrants doing certain jobs, like in Ohio, but they won't do those jobs themselves.
But as to that point, where do you think Walmarts were best situated? And who do you think is buying goods at the Dollar Tree? Are those places not exploitative if the people in the factories making their goods?

Most Dems I know are comfortable paying a living wage. Massachusetts just increased the minimum wage. It's generally Republicans arguing against it.

If you want to make a point at least make it consistent with reality. For Trump supporters, this isn't an argument about not exploiting immigrants. It's the belief that the US is giving them too much and that they don't belong or xenophobia. Look at what happened in Springfield Ohio. You keep trying to make these high minded arguments to support Trump. Give it a rest.

2.) X is collapsing. It's been devalued at 75% since musk bought it and after what he did during this election I'm sure will decline more.

Yes, I expect Kumbaya. I expect people not to see people based on the color of their skin.

3.) Maybe instead of lecturing me on what the US should look like without an understanding of what the US was founded on, you can take that energy and focus it on doing more to help Nigeria. I reject your argument that it is either I accept racism or leave to a country that people can't afford to eat. Everyone should be able to live in a world where they are not discriminated by the color of their skin and also be able to eat.
You seem to feel like you don't deserve more.
It looks like Nigeria has broken you. I guess hunger can do that.

Let anyone do a search on my post and find how many times I posted about homosexual and now do the same for you

That is what we call projection. No one is concerned about your sexuality, who you sleep with or who you dont. Na you get your anus
I think everyone on this thread is clear who talks about homosexuality more.
For someone not concerned about who I sleep with, a large swath of your posts are dedicated to it.
Almost sounds like jealousy or envy.

It's wild how you lie and then think you can bend reality to your lies.
I feel sorry for anyone who has to be around you constantly.
You're like a masterclass in gaslighting.

IjeBos:
No reaction from all the Family Values Republicans in this thread?
And no reaction from all the Anti-homosexual (unless you want to argue straight men give blow jobs) posters here?
Eeerily quiet. Almost as if all the stuff they believe is BS.
2.
IjeBos:
Why is Trump prerending he is giving a bl0w job to the mic.
That is homosexual erotica.
Last time he was talking about Arnold Palmer's penis, now pretending to give a Mouth Action?
Wtf?
Something is really not well with this guy.
3.
IjeBos:
I can dislike someone else's decision to be homosexual but what right does the government have to stop them?
4.
IjeBos:
Your life literally consists of waking up, if you ever do sleep, to troll UK sites, then to troll US sites to post anti-Islam , homosexual content in the US Politics thread on Nairaland. What's wild is that you don't live in either place nor are you a citizen of either place.
You seem to have had a mental break with reality.
5.
IjeBos:
Again, your first instinct is to talk about homsexual sex or someone else having homsexual sex.
You always seem to have a catalog of these homosexual posts.
I'm sure it's you "just doing research".
6.
IjeBos:
Truthfully, you sound as if you did have sex, it would be gay sex.
Your very odd posts reads like a repressed person who fantasizes about homosexual sex.
7.
IjeBos:
You guys should carry on with all your "deek", homosexual talk. Slyfoxx seems to be already in bed waiting for you bemeruca. Enjoy!
8.
IjeBos:
Yeah, all those women you see begging in the streets in Nigeria with a hoard of children behind them, had those children because they knew they would be taken care of? Keep talking nonsense. It's not necessary to make yourself look like more of an idiot to defend another idiot.

Ahh, And now it's about love? I'm sure all those in homosexual unions would love to hear this.
Its's weird how you castigate homesxuality
as an immoral sin yet a supposed Christian having children out of the context of marriage is all about love. Gotta love that hypocrisy.
9.
IjeBos:
Herein lies a perfect example of modern day Conservatism and it's Hypocrisy.

Look at this thread. Who are the biggest degenerates on here? Who are the ones talking about pornography (posting pornographic pictures), homosexuality(posts and depictions of homosexual sex, posts about "f*king other men in the a$s" ) and just being all round degenerates (taking about people's dead family members). It's the same people who cloak themselves in their fake Christianity and use it to oppress people day and night on this thread.

And so, here we have Basilico, Mr. Book Burner himself, defending homosexual banter. Why? Because they don't really believe the shit they peddle. They just want to be the ones who peddle it, who control other people's behavior. So, for someone like Slyfox/OmoTeeJanet2211, he can write all the homosexual, deviant stuff he wants. But, let's burn every other book that talks about homosexuality because of the "language" in them.

Well done Basilico. If you ever make it to the US, you'll fit right into the conservative movement. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
10.
IjeBos:
Does a guy saying he wants to f*ck another guy in the anus make him a homosexual? Asking for slyfoxx.
11.
IjeBos:
Do you look at my picture and play with yourself? Cuz this isn't normal.
You, slyfoxx and basilico are the only ones always talking about gayness or homosexual sex in this thread.

This is the childish gaslighting you do.
Do you think you have to say the word homosexual in a post to be talking about homosexuality?
You talk like a child for someone so old.
It's always games and gaslighting.

Trump supporters and the majority of American people are not satisfied with the illegal immigration. You paint it as if Americans don't want immigrants. Please, keep the "illegal" part in there. When you yourself are there living as an immigrant. Has anybody come there to send you home, yet?

Again, majority voted toward curbing the influx of illegal immigrants. We know the elections were fair and square, and represent the will of the people. If the people say they are concerned about illegal immigration, it's your duty, as a representative of the people, to either inform them enough of the cons of quickly shutting down the borders, or finding an alternative.

You have failed at both. Therefore, here's your sack letter, well-deserved.

According to Pew Research Center, Most Americans agree that Illegal legal immigrants fill jobs that Americans don't want. Nobody has denied this, not the republicans. However, more republicans are willing to take on those so-called jobs compared to democrats. 37% of Republican voters would like to have those jobs that you claim only illegal immigrants work at.

www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2024/10/21/most-us-voters-say-immigrants-no-matter-their-legal-status-mostly-take-jobs-citizens-dont-want/

But as to that point, where do you think Walmarts were best situated? And who do you think is buying goods at the Dollar Tree? Are those places not exploitative if the people in the factories making their goods?
I can't beat them, so join them?

Americans, rebups, and a smaller percentage of demos complain about illegal immigration. Trump spotted the train and rode it for free. You were more focused on things Americans weren't concerned about.

Most Dems I know are comfortable paying a living wage. Massachusetts just increased the minimum wage. It's generally Republicans arguing against it.
Are the cost of living between these states the same? I don't have to be an American to apply the 2+2 that works over here, there. The average income of residents of Lagos is higher than others. The cost of living is equally high.

So, someone earning 100,000 Naira in Kaduna, purchase power parity wise, actually has better standard of living, than his counterpart in Lagos. I think I understand basic economics.

Blue states have in general have higher cost of living. So, the higher wages, isn't that Dems are better people, it's that anything below what it pays now is slavery. And, no American wants to live in Blue and earn like they live in Alabama. It's common 2+2!

Like I said, go to drawing board, and come up with a different solution.

If you want to make a point at least make it consistent with reality. For Trump supporters, this isn't an argument about not exploiting immigrants. It's the belief that the US is giving them too much and that they don't belong or xenophobia. Look at what happened in Springfield Ohio. You've seen my comments here. We all know, bar Trump hardcore supporters, that misinformation was at's it's pinnacle during this campaign. But, misinformation, itself, wasn't what drove Americans to Donald.

And, concerns about illegal immigration. Key word = illegal

2.) X is collapsing. It's been devalued at 75% since musk bought it and after what he did during this election I'm sure will decline more.
As a business, yes. As a social platform and it's impact? I don't think so. You lost the elections, didn't you?

Yes, I expect Kumbaya. I expect people not to see people based on the color of their skin.
If you somehow device the ability to eliminate the ability to feel emotions and that component that makes people go "Us versus them," from people, then that'll be great. Otherwise, stop smoking blunt.

It will happen, but by then, both our bones would have turned to fossil fuel.

3.) Maybe instead of lecturing me on what the US should look like without an understanding of what the US was founded on, you can take that energy and focus it on doing more to help Nigeria.
I do help Nigeria. For example, some of it's inhabitants can't fund their education. And, I help Nigeria by helping her fund the education of those inhabitants. I've taught over 300 students, with many coming back to tell me how I impacted their lives in ways no other teacher has, even though I spent just a measly two years with them. Girls are comfortable enough to discuss mensuration cycles, relationships, family drama with me. Boys don't use "bitch" "hoe" to refer to women because I instruct them not to. Boys and girls study hard to make at university level and show me their results because I encourage them to.

I don't just help Nigeria, I extend my impact on youths all the way to America. I write about personal finance, self-development, etc. for an American teenage audience. Likewise, I help write practical guides on exercising for American Seniors as well. Oh, I do write introductory guides about investing for American adults as well, my guy.

The difference between me and you are just circumstances and age. Nothing much!
I reject your argument that it is either I accept racism or leave to a country that people can't afford to eat. Everyone should be able to live in a world where they are not discriminated by the color of their skin and also be able to eat.
I cannot travel to Saudi Arabia, where I know they hate blacks and demand that they treat me with respect. While it's a lovely ideal to have, it's just not realistic. If you don't like what they offer, leave. It's their country, not yours.

You can come back here, where you'd be loved, and welcomed with open arms. Plus, Instead of staying in America and whining about racism, you could help Nigeria, by helping it become a better America.

You seem to feel like you don't deserve more.
Everybody deserves more. The illegal immigrants, whose governments have turned them to peasants begging to come and enslave themselves so you can live comfortable lives with low cost of living, deserve more than just wiping ass and picking oranges.
The people who voted for Trump deserve more.
The democrats deserve more.
I deserve more.
You deserve more.
We all deserve more.

But, Manna doesn't fall from heaven.

It looks like Nigeria has broken you. I guess hunger can do that.
Tell me more about racism.

If there's anybody on the planet that society cannot break, it's Nigerians! That's why you can go there and excel even better than Black Americans. Have some faith in us!

I skimmed this. You seem to have some idealistic view of Republicans that isn't matched by who they are.
You are talking about exploiting immigrants while Republicans have been trying to erode child labor laws in Republican states.
In MA where the minimum wage was increased, some Republicans voted against it.
You preach the policies of Democrats while voting Republcians who constantly erode them.

And it's clear you don't understand the immigration problem. You are legal and/or not legal by how the law defines you. I'm a legal citizen because the law allowed me such through the Naturalization process. A lot of the "illegal" immigrants that you keep describing are here legally. They have legal status as they are legally allowed to apply for Asylum.
You should probably go read more on it before commenting.

But that goes to my point. It's commendable you like US politics. But how can you really speak on a place you have never been to nor understand the culture of? Read about the Puritans and why they came to the US and maybe you'll understand it better.

Listen, let's leave who does or doesn't do for Nigeria. My point is that you are on the ground and I'm sure the energy you spend here can be used there.

And I do have faith in Nigeria. I have faith in people like my friends who decided to eschew life in the US after college to move back to Nigeria to make a difference. And they are.
I don't have faith in people like you who live there, see the struggles and the effects of corruption and cheer the same type of person and system in the US. Either you can't see it or do and think it's ok. Either way Nigeria can't succeed with people like you.

You have no say, whatsoever, in the things I can and can't do. My energy is mine for spending, and I spend it how I please. This is a Nigerian thread opened to discuss American politics, not for Ijebos to come and gloat that he's made it to La La Land.

That aside, it's you who clumps all republicans and democrats into one box. Both sides are a spectrum, they are instances where values of both sides overlap. Some democrats also voted against raising the minimum wage. Some republicans voted for rising minimum wages.

Don't play semantics. You very well know the illegal immigration being talked about.

I'm not demo or repub, as I am not registered to either political party. However, one could say I hold liberal ideals, since, liberalism transcends country or race.

Whether the illegal immigration is legal or not, the point still remains the majority of voters (repubs, former demos, independent voters) all thought illegal immigration was a problem.
If your media houses weren't so beggy for attention and exploiting sensationalism to garner ratings, maybe we wouldn't have this problem.

eschew life in the US after college to move back to Nigeria to make a difference.
Interesting choice of words. For someone who claims to expect people to act decently, you stink of classism, very much like the white supremacist that you're complaining about.

Eschew life in the US? What the fvck about life in the US?

The women on the streets hawking tomatoes, aren't making a difference?

"Oh, they sacrificed their lives in the U.S, to come and deliver us?"

I've always hoped that Trump would get back to power and investigate the 2020 elections. The Hunters will become hunted in just about two months. Invest in popcorn stocks. The criminality of DOJ, fbi, Marc Elias etc will be exposed.

Trump election was stolen .

After sabotaging Kamala, donning a MAGA hat which he never returned, he promised peaceful transfer of power, he seemed happy to meet Trump.

After sabotaging Kamala, donning a MAGA hat which he never returned, he promised peaceful transfer of power, he seemed happy to meet Trump.
He is the happiest guy in the democrat party. After the coup. He didn't lose to trump

BREAKING!

Tulsi Gabbard has been nominated as Director Of National Intelligence (DNI)

If confirmed by the Senate, she would become the first woman to hold the position

Get the fvck of your high horse!
This whole post speaks to what I am talking about.
You have no real understanding of the US nor US politics.

1.) What the Republicans and Democrats stand for is clear. There is some overlap but not enough to make a difference. Just look at all the major pieces of legislation the last 20 years and who falls on what side. Take ObamaCare for one.

2.) I don't know what illegal immigration you are referring to because you sound like you don't either. Most of the immigration that is happening is through the Asylum process. Immigrants who are granted asylum are let out due to the 4 year wait to process the claim. So, even if they file false claims they still can be in the country for 4 years. But because the law allows for it, they are legal.

3.) I think you should do a search for Japa on this site. You seem to be not aware of all the people who left Nigeria or want to leave Nigeria. Yes, some of my friends left very well paying jobs in the US and went the other way. Came back to Nigeria, while plenty of people are trying to leave.
But I'm sure you are aware of all that.
That you think me saying "eschew" is similar to white supremacy is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard. Goes back to you having no concept of life in the US.

You are right, you control your time.
Everyone is welcome to make a fool of themselves.

Losing is normal in politics. And like a Man and the right thing to do. It has to be peaceful. But you Swines, were shouting here and there that the election was rigged when it wasn't.

Now what Trump can never ever do in his yeye life,Biden did and Kamala will do. Because that is the right thing to do

Transferring power PEACEFULLY. Something you people can NEVER EVER DO
