WarHammer2000:
Iheanacho is NOT a winger.

Osho is NOT ready.

Iwobi does NOT have the grit and stamina to play in a two man (3-4-3) midfield.

Osimhen is NOT reliable.

Nwabali is NOT reliable.

Eguavoen should know better than to be deceived by Iheanacho in training

Whatever happened in Afcon 21 is bygone.

Very good subs by the way. Viva Super Eagles
Iheanacho although not in form was definitely good in the first half

553 passes, 69% ball possession. 84% pass accuracy. Still only 5 shots. 2 on target. Only 1 goal

Iheanacho played on Aina's flank, Lookman on Bruno's flank. When Simon came in he switched with Lookman.

So no its not from there

Benin did well. The one point is good for them. It will be hard for super Eagles to lose to Rwanda in Uyo and Libya needs at least 4 nill to upset Benin
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by joelsteron: 10:14pm On Nov 14, 2024
AE still not convincing enough with his
1. Tactics
2. Player selections, only to gets it right in 2nd halfs.
3. Iwobi can't start my middle, if all he offers is penetration passes. Please do away with 2 man midfielder regardless.
4. Onyedika is not a bench warmer
5. Eagles weakness is set piece, Rohr that quite well.
6. Lookman and Simon are starters for me if Chukwueze is not serious yet.
God bless Nigeria

Firstly, I think the news that we had already qualified removed the urgency in our boys
They knew they didn't have to exert themselves too much..

Secondly, our setup in the first half was wrong
If we played a balanced midfield in the first half, we would have scored
Thirdly, our boys were too cautious. They were obviously trying to avoid injuries
Looks like Aina took a knock
I hope it's not too serious..

Now we can rest our first team, and play the other guys against Rwanda..

Job done!
Now we focus on getting to the world cup

Whenever Simon comes on as a substitute, a fresh wave of energy hits that attacking department as he comes to wear out already worn out defender over again. Besides Iheanacho can also play from there too. It's a good lineup IMO.
I talk am abi I no talk am? grin
