Minus his goals I don't think we even qualify for the last Afcon or this one, that's why I'm baffled by members of this thread who bad mouth Osimhen, he's SE and SE is him?!
He is indeed our Messi. No 🧢

Make I reiterate..
The announcement that we had already qualified definitely affected us psychologically in this game..
So, judging our team by our performance today would be a mistake
Everybody play rubbish
Even Coach follow coach rubbish

Yet, they are telling us to remeasure our expectations of him..
Because he needs 5-6 chances before him go score..

What if it turns out to be false, this is what affected siasia as eagles coach, a game we need a draw or so we kept attacking until we conceded. Our coaches and players should do better please. You can still take the game easy but don’t be silly. That was sill play today from the eagles in the first half.

I swear to God, I told the man behind me today, I suspected the rain for this performance, cuz it was awful.. At one point I stood up :[ Bad passes everywhere. Benin actually played better of the two teams.

Lookman no lookman today at all, then the same man told me he expected it, say Lookman can't hide again, he Don blow so he was marked. Ekong awful pass upandan. Again, I'm blaming the rain and the slippery pitch.

Today game was definitely one of the bad game. Thank God for Moses and Victor.

Lookman off. Nwabali off. Ekong off. Ndidi off. Iwobi off. The only player I will give ON today was Bruno imo.

though not good enough, the question is, how does this stat interpret us being outplayed abeg?
shey na that 12 aimless shot be the outplay wey dem outplay us?
If you had streamed the game live, you'd know why I said that. Benin's progression from their defence to midfield and then to attack was sublime, whereas SE's was the opposite. Their long ball delivery was far better than ours.

I agree with you
But somehow I knew we won't lose
If we had played the proper midfield in the first half, we would have won..

I really pray that AE learns this

We need to quit over reliance on foreign born players for the national team. Let’s give our homegrown players confidence and self esteem and be professional. We can win world cup with them. Rest in power Keshi

Our unbeaten run continues..
I had opined that I see this AE's team going on a 15-20 game unbeaten run..
Well, this is game 5, and we're still unbeaten!!
Kudos AE.. even though the whole team was off today, we still came through unscathed!

This Iwobi I saw today is shocking to know that he has 84 caps already

How can Nigeria be relying on this guy for creativity in 2024

Just mention Boniface name
He feels too comfortable, same way Chukwueze was feeling too comfortable until he started sitting on the Bench.
Someday, if Iwobi and Ndidi doesn't improve their games playing for the SE, they will still sit on the bench

He was completely off today
Aside him not contributing anything to today's match, he was also cut off his position on numerous occasions, I started asking myself if he even knows his position on the field.
Them say make he play AM, he will leave his position and be seen on the left, the right, leaving his AM position empty

Osimhen despite his well deserved goal (Good goal) was AVERAGE today. Multiple offsides and 3 missed SITTERS is unacceptable at this level and will be punished against world class team. (Don’t listen to the PR campaign going on here) infact, the entire Team except Bruno onyeamachi were AVERAGE and Below average today. Eguavoen will have to improve on that midfield because today’s performance wasn’t acceptable. Additionally, against rwanda, I expect a 4-0 Win in addition to coherent football. Bruno and Moses Simon just focus on delivering precise crosses because we have the best header of the ball in the world
