Not sure if the players just didn't care to give their 💯because they found out we had already qualified anyways, but that was hands down the worst SE performance I've ever watched in some years now, and I've seen some pretty terrible games by the SE. Eguavoen need to have a serious talk with certain players on that team if he's still retained as coach. |

The Ronaldos and Messis them, the highest number of their international goals are against Luxemburg, Andorra, Bolivia, San Marino etc... We played Zimbabwe and Lesotho in the WCQ without Osimhen, na midfielders dey equalize 1–1 for us, when Osimhen scored two and gave an assist against that same Lesotho in one match the previous year. Person go just wan feel intelligent start dey jam talk anyhow. |

BankyGee:You didn’t see the two SITTERS missed in the first half? Clear cut chance from bruno or you want to be a Pathological Liar? Anyway, he scored and rightly deserves commendation but he needs to improve on his “Offside trap” and “Conversion rate”. The entire team except Bruno were AVERAGE maybe it was because they were aware of secured qualification. We can not be celebrating todays performance or draw against Benin IDGAF they’re a small team in African football history |

Alex Iwobi is surely a mainstay in the Super Eagles midfield but today saw him drop probably one of his worse GWG performances. Iwobi struggled to be incisive and looked leggy in his distribution at times. He completed 30 passes out of 39 attempted in 72mins of play. Raphael Onyedika came in at half time and completed the same number of passes (30) out of 36 in lesser time than it took Iwobi. And his passes were mostly purposeful recycles, top distributive and switch plays-effective. What am I saying? Not that Iwobi needs be replaced by Onyedika. Absolutely not. But that a metronomic middle game figure like Onyedika should not be left on the bloody bench when he holds the key to how our middle game operates and how our transitions and switchplays happen. Onyedika should be playing alongside Iwobi and one more midfielder for proper middle game balance that perfectly places our fingers on the trigger of our attacking weapons. Iwobi, our creative outlet was underpar but thank God for the Metronomic outlet in Onyedika who came in and got our midfield wheels working effectively again. |

Samueltemi337:Lookman Who is my Boy was also Below average today. Eguavoen needs to realize that lookman beat position is Centre and not the wings. You watch a world class player terrorize seria A defenders playing Centre and you decide to play him on the wings? How do you expect him to perform at his best. Like I said, the entire team were average or below average except “Bruno onyeamachi” |

Wilfred Ndidi is a seasoned midfield General. I respect his contributions and all but he doesn't make this midfield two fly the way Onyeka did alongside Iwobi. Personnel combos matter. Ndidi still outdueled everyone today though. Won the most duels (10) in the game and completed the 2nd most passes (69) in the game (1st was Bassey). But I know for certain Ndidi in a balanced midfield 3 will be more appreciated in the GWG. |

BankyGee:You must be crazy so you want me to be excited that the Giant of Africa were held to a stalemate by one the Historically Giant of African football, Benin? We have to be truthful devoid of any emotions when analyzing Games. Todays performance by the super eagles was an eyesore and everyone except Onyeamachi were Average or Below average including my fave Ademola lookman. I’m sorry but I can’t celebrate today’s performance lai lai |

By the way, Congratulations to osimehn for breaking the legendary segun ofegbami goal record of 22 goals. I expect him to break yekini record prior to his SE retirement. Simon and onyemachi are good crossers and star boy will score many headers |

BankyGee:Found the correct one. It's matches, not assists. That's impossible; and Yekini even played 62 games, not 58.

Bannedlargejr:I never praised the performance of the team today, if you followed the thread during the match, you'll see my comments regarding how bad the match was. I'm only celebrating Osimhen's goal, you're talking of the team. If not for Simon's brilliance and Victor's goal, this is a lost match for Nigeria but a big win for you and your anti-Osimhen squad. The fact you've deleted your initial draft on Osimhen is a win for me. Stick with the missing sitters one. |

Our midfield trio should be Onyedika, Onyeka and Dele-Bashiru...play Iwobi from the wing if he has to start or bench him. Eguavoen gaffed big time by starting Iheanacho and even more baffling that he played him from the wing! like what kind of self-sabotage is that? Ndidi offers us nothing, just another pedestrian player living off on "experienced player" tax. I'm sorry but players like Ndidi, Iheanacho, and Sadiq have absolutely no business in the NT! Ojediran of Lens is looking like a exciting prospect, why not just give players like that a chance? Vince Osuji is balling in Sweden top flight football, why not give the kid a chance? I'll even take Ariehi over Iheanacho right now at this point- at least he's one for the future. Aina sef dey Bleep up these days, he needs serious competition in that position and Osayi doesn't inspire much confidence. So why can't NFF try players like Kingsley Ehibizue, Felix Agu and Kayode from Fiorentina? Osimhen and Moses Simon keep carrying this team but for how long can we keep depending on their individual brilliance to bail us out... Nwabali sef needs to stop letting media hype get into his head and calm down. Lookman is really trying but he was so isolated and crowded out with no options available for those lay-offs. The only positives today were Bruno Onyemaechi (solid baller), Simon Moses and Onyedika to some extent. The rest were absolutely gash. Lots of work and revamping needs to be done going forward and NFF have to come out clear and decide who our coach is after the Rwandan game, if it's Eguavoen then announce him as the substantive coach and find tactically sound assistants to support him (if possible bring back Siasia into the coaching fold). I hate to say this but I'll gladly take Rohr back if he decides to try his redemption arc with us, his football wasn't pretty on the eyes but he made us play very effective and pragmatic football. |

BankyGee:Bro, you have every right to celebrate his goal and I don’t have an issue with it. My only issue was people celebrating the team performance individual and collective when they were Average except Onyemachi. It’s disrespectful to label anyone as “anti anyone” simply because of an opinion |

If we want to qualify for the WC, then boys need to win every match from March 2025 onwards. Draws will not cut it. I hope these guys know the task ahead of them. That's all. |
