Today I went to new artisan to buy fruits ,a boy of about age of 12 to 14 approached me with his friend all looking dirty and in their eyes you could see that this boys have done some bad things or they stay with bad boys or they have seen things cos their eyes where shining and no atom of fear ,he came asking for help and he’s hungry and need food ,I said rather give you work tha will pay you than give you what u are asking for and hurriedly,he with his friend said they were ready to work ,mind you this boys from the look of things has no morals or ethics ,they are hungry and need money which means if you can give them a job that can fetch them
Money ,they are ready to do it and they don’t care what the job is and that’s where it’s scary ,I asked him what kind of job can you do ,he said he knows a lot about welding ,am a welder myself so at that point I picked interest in him ,I watched him mention names of tools we use and he’s just a small child with scars on his body ,why did you stop the welding you were learning ,he said there was nobody to Sign agreement for him ,I asked after his parents and he said he doesn’t know his father but he knows his mother ,I just asked him where I could find him again if I needed to see him again and he said I can always come to this dustbin any day that’s where he stays and scavenge for metals ,I feel like helping this boy but am scared of doing so ,I gave him some money and told him I will see him later and they thanked me and left ,my fear is ,nobody I have helped before paid me back with good ,secondly this boys have bad boys that shield them and it’s dangerous to bring him closed to me as he might give information of me to this his cartel and they can come rob me and steal
From me ,he stays in enugu and not under anybody’s care not even a family ,ask me who do you think this boy will turn to under this condition,one politician will pick him up and give him an identity and use him for their evil deeds and even give him office to handle and everyday we keep complaining how bad this country is , Omo God help us ,government needs to pick this boys up and take them in and raise them ,they were 5 of them I saw there and I heard there are even more
