It's a sign of unseriousness and an avenue to allocate and syphon funds, why can't it be achieved in your tenure in office. It's the state government that should take care of their immediate environment, open defeacation is more prevalent in cities and minimal in towns and villages. In towns and villages there is readily available toilet either pit latrine, water closet and inside bush. But come to cities like oshodi oke, obalende, ijora etc you will find a lot of feaces around due to in accessibility to emergency toilet. |

This country loves chasing shadows instead of facing reality. I don't think they know the amount of education and educating the masses about open defecation that should come alongside this project. Who cares about a public toilet or open defecation in deep remote areas majorly in the northern part of this country? |

Why is the bolded so? Or are you saying there is no available toilets or cities? Toilets and latrine in villages are built by homeowners. The same thing applies in the cities. The difference is that there is low movement of people in villages. When villagers feel pressed and they are not at home, they defecate in the bush and it either decay or animals ear it up. But in the cities where there is high movement of people, drivers and conductors who feel pressed while they are on the road always defecate on the road. Villagers who accompany goods to cities and have nowhere to poo defecate on the road etc. We just need public toilets. yemmywesey: |

NamelessOGBENI:Projections are important targets people set for themselves. Nobody can do without it... unless you don't have a long-term plan. No, you cannot get the job done now because the FG cannot use all the money made from selling crude oil to build toilets for people who cannot afford it. It has to be a long-term strategy achieved by taking incremental baby steps. |
