With all the new evidences available to me, Victor Osimhen is better than haaland.
What are you basing this on?

If them give any country apart from Angola that Team of the Year award, na cheating. I said it two days ago that Ghana won't beat them when someone here asked. They are by far the best "team" in Africa at the moment, for a team ranked 82nd in the world and out of the top 10 in Africa, they are the African team with the most wins in 2024, and have only lost twice. 1–0 to both Morocco and Nigeria.

By the time the new rankings drop, Ghana would find themselves at 77th or 78th while Angola will go up to 76th or 77th.

That their coach na idan abeg. Respect!
I don't think they have the talents again, they hardly qualify for youth tournaments, even the female teams ain't qualifying for AWFCON again. GFA still better than NFF in recruiting quality coaches; Claude Le Roy/ Herve Renard, Avram Grant, Chris Hughton. Addo, a local coach is well motivated and earning in dollars. I can say the problem is not coaching, but lack of talents..

The last group game will be very interesting;

Ghana vs Niger
Sudan vs Angola

Niger will play for a win against Ghana and pray Angola should defeat Sudan..

I watched Angola yesterday, the team is fantastic.

It may interest you to know that Yekini's favorite opposition was Ivory Coast. He scored more against them (7 in 8 games) than against any other opponents in his 37 goals journey across 62 NT games.

After CIV, it was Kenya (5 goals in 4 games).
Yekin foreign club career started in Ivory Coast, could that be a factor of understanding and exploiting their weaknesses or they were just giving him easier passage as solidarity 😂 am just being naughty o

if the coach is good, it would reflect in the team. Their performances during the last few years have been nothing to write about.utter dreadful performances. After missing 2018 wc, it took an uzoho howler for them to reach the last wc and they still served the nonsense they have been known for. It's not as if they are really lacking in talent like that.

Ego? Wait mostob... you really do have a problem. This is not the first time your insignificant self will try to play down the efforts of people actually contributing to the thread. This is not the first at all. And ofcos I know you stay with the stigma of having been called out by me for groping to a pic of one of our Super Falcons players. The pain still rings fresh which is part of why you won't back down from saying nonsense.

A player I know nothing about?? Do anyone actually think that I have the time to mention every player or talent I know?? Lol

I have known about Nwaneri before he made that teamsheet but didn't think him necessary to mention until that day.

So it is until I mention a player here on NL that I know about the player?? What foolery is this?

So I must list all the talents I know about scattered across the Arsenal, Chelsea and other academies in England or Europe? I actually do my best. BUT WHAT DO YOU DO?? ALL YOU DO IS TALK DOWN AND SOUND FOOLISH.

All you do is attack but hardly do you contribute in terms of players monitoring OR players visibility. It is 2024 and you are still the same. How pathetic.

Everyone who comes to this thread and the previous threads before this one was opened by Terzurum5 knows reporting on players is like second nature for me. I make it look easy.

So you being an Arsenal fan and thinking only you and Arsenal fans should know about Nwaneri is absolutely silly of you. You are just very delusional.

NWANERI WAS MENTIONED ON THIS THREAD BEFORE HE EVER OFFICIALLY DEBUTED FOR ARSENAL

If that fact pains you so much as an Arsenal fan, then you can eat metal.

Terzurum5, been a long long while my able OP. You have become a sort of hidden legend in here but your name will be always tied to the beginning of this great thread.

Since 2016, it's been going strong for 8yrs and counting now. Took over from another legend in Joseph1013, the forerunner.

Nice to see you again passing by, Terzurum5. I greet you specially 🤝🏻🙌🏽👊🏽

Iwobi to the right here but at Fulham, he plays more from the left. But yes, his last 2 games saw him play from the right so to make this work in this fantasy setup, he is to be utilised just as effectively as we saw him used on the RW vs Crystal Palace last weekend.

Boniface in the SS role is possible. He just has to keep it simple and only take the necessary risks where possible. Also, not too many touches to avoid being frequently dispossessed.

Onyedika to sit deeper than Ndidi and orchestrate plays, receive from defence and transit vertically.

Ndidi to bring his Leicester role to this setup. Roam, advance and break lines vertically to provide passing options in advanced areas.

So yeah, a fine experimental fantasy setup. Let me add, one that I know Eguavoen will never try (Shock me).

Barring the result in the first half, Iheanacho was pretty solid in the first half, created some good chances. It was a right decision to start him. And I think he should either start or come in against Rwanda.

The result in the first half have made some emotional people not to see his fantastic contributions in the game.

Iheanacho has always been a fine chance creator whether he is in form or not. He created a particular big chance I recall, yes... but his OTB work and how it affects our transition shapes is where the bulk of the problem lie.

OTB - Off the ball.

I agree with you on a coach relying heavily on Iwobi as being lazy. The lad needs serious competition in the creative dept.

But hope you have contacted the best fit for your haram Yori Kati Football plan in Raphael Odogwu. Don't waste Time. 2025 is coming.

Thanks again Basco for always coming through with the highlights for those of us too busy or occupied to watch live.

Nice play from Bruno probably his best performance in the SE so far. Osimhen's missed chance in the 1 half denied him a well deserved assist. With more performances like this I think he will have the LB position on lockdown. Probably needs to improve in the physical battles more still looks slightly lightweight to me.

Aina and Bassey look seriously off colour defense wise. Need to do better especially for next years high pressure WC qualifiers.

Attack wise Osimhen was the only consistent threat. Yes he missed a sitter but made up for it with his crucial goal towards the end. Honestly our other forwards need to come to the party so we don't turn into a mostly Osimhen and Inshallah team.

S. Moses well done. I'm one of his biggest critics on these streets but he has become more reliable lately and understands his game better and how it impacts the team's performance. Hope Chukwueze is taking notes.

Condolences to Nwabobo on the loss of his father. May God give him and his family comfort at this trying time. To his performance no sugarcoating it Stanley was largely at fault for the conceded goal. A mistake let's be honest we would have dragged Okoye and Uzoho centuries for. I guess Nwabali's consistent performances for the SE since his debut this year has(deservedly in my opinion) earned him some reprieve but he should watch it because someone is waiting in the wings if too many blunders become part of his game.

Monday's game is for all intents and purposes a competitive friendly for us so I would like to see AE give the likes of Onyedika, Yusuf, Osho, Boniface/Sadiq etc a good run out. No need to stress Osimhen and Lookman we know their quality already.

25 games
17 wins
4 draws
3 losses

Very good stats
For the first time I'm supporting a local coach... I hope he succeed this time.

My man, I will be the most pissed if African football fans refer to our Super Eagles as "Osimhen and Inshallah" as our strategy just like Salah with Egypt.

How we go get Incoming APOTY Lookman, Boniface, Iwobi, etc and you reduce us to "Osimhen and inshallah". I go too vex gan😡😡😡

Why Super Eagles new boy Osho was replaced – Eguavoen

https://scorenigeria.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/gabriel-osho-eagles-training.jpg
*Gabriel Osho - Eagles Training

Coach Augustine Eguavoen has explained why Super Eagles debutant Gabriel Osho was hauled off after the first half against Benin in a 2025 AFCON in Abidjan Thursday night.

AJ Auxerre central defender Osho was a surprise starter against Benin, but he was replaced at the restart by Club Brugge defensive midfielder Raphael Onyedika.

Eguavoen has now explained the thinking behind this change.

“Osho is a very good player, who I have been following, I even told him even before he came that in the absence of Semi Ajayi, he will start against Benin,” Eguavoen told Eagle7fm Sports Radio

“He trained only once and then played.

“He was substituted not because he was not playing well but because I reverted to a back four so as to get something from the game.

“We started with 3-4-3, then changed to 4-3-3 and in the last 15, 20 minutes we changed to 4-4-2 with Victor Boniface joining Osimhen to give us more numbers inside the box.”
