Barnsley fans have been waxing lyrical on twitter/X. Some even debunked the tales by OGN and some other Nigerian media outlets that Darrell Clarke complained about Nwakali calling him lazy and all that.

They said they know bcoz they are there firsthand and that Clarke's only concern with Nwakali was his fitness level which Nwakali worked hard to raise and that is why he earned near full mins today.

Was a swell interaction with some of them honestly.

It is shocking the amount of hate Kelechi Nwakali gets. He is really a talented guy and hardworking. Listening to him, you can feel his pains that he struggles to ignore the hatred against him.

Even the phone incident, he said he had an injury in the game and his friend was calling to find out the severity. Trying to turn off the phone, the camera picked it and the Nigerian hate mill journalists went all out to tarnish him.

If he is that good as we try to paint him here he will be in top league or perhaps in a decent club. This scouts are not blind

We are disappointed in him, how can a coach open his mouth and mention Kelechi and gifted in the same sentence?...

Well the coach is probably the worst coach in the league and the least paid coach probably just a part time coach working night shifts at McDonalds, essentially he is saying bladderdash out of emotive bias typical of a low- level coach.

For Nwakali, you know the insults and disrespect i took from the likes of Charles Emeka and his gangs, but I had never lost hope in that young man. I am happy for him and every young man should learn a lesson from Nwakali's struggles
