How can the responsibility of married couple be the same as when they were single?
Or does it mean you don't understand what she meant by "responsibility" in that context?

Apart from children, I wonder what extra responsibility differs between married couples and while they were single. Do you know any? That is why I asked.

The topic and question reminds me of two neighbours from several years ago. Lucky and I were tenants of the same landlord in the same property but we lived in separate flats.

Lucky started dating Linda who lived two streets away from our residence, it seemed like a serious relationship to me until Linda took in and Lucky mounted pressure on her to get an abortion, which she did.

In less than six months of the abortion, Lucky married a new and different chic entirely. I was in shock and awe at the speed with which he moved in marrying the new girl. It must have been devastating for Linda because the entry and exit points into the estate required passing in front of Linda's house, there's no way she would not have seen or ran into Lucky and his new wife at some point. I felt sorry for her sha!

And to think Lucky once advised me to take in for a man in order to get married. He asked if I was married and I said no, then he proceeded to give me this unsolicited advice - any man you are dating now, just get pregnant for him, once belle enter he go marry you.

Thank goodness I have never been naive or stupid to think pregnancy or even children for that matter, are a sure way of getting or keeping a man.

Marital life is beyond two people, extended family and more responsibilities, unlike before any little thing we are already on the bed having mad fun .

The worst of it all is that it will have the Man caged while the woman is forever free .

As a guy , you wouldn't be able to import babes to your crib no more , even female friends and colleagues can't visit in peace because your gal will be aware and also the whole neighbourhood will start gossiping but the Banny will have the freedom to visit other guys outside unlike you ..

If you too are each other's spec and want a relationship that will lead to marriage, it can really work out. Not everything is game and knack.

It depends. Mine worked successfully. In fact everyone thought we'd marry each other. But I graduated and went back home...and the distance took its toll on the relationship.

The key thing here is maturity. I won't try such with someone who's clingy and too emotionally dependent.

My niece started dating her neighbor, her mum was furious! Today, through thick and thin, they're happily married, 4 kids, stupendous wealth, yet very modest!
It works once there's maturity!
