Submitted application at TLS Lagos today. Received email that it's been sent to Consular authority, fingers crossed. Hoping that France will once again prove themselves for speedy processing than the Italians. |

hunee:By the way, what qualifies one as a frequent traveller? Do people really travel much during this season? I'd have thought it's cold and therefore should have less people. |

davodyguy:No please. France processes her visa application for only 15 working days excluded of weekends( Saturday and Sunday). In most situations, it takes maximum of 20 working days to get it processed. |

AKAyomide:You probably didn't understand the post before quoting it Days of the week (7days with weekend) Working days of the week (5 days excluding weekend) By saying France about 15 to 20 days (including weekends) in my post, it means: 15 days including weekend = 10 working days 20 days including weekend = 15 working days |

galactico579:No it doesn't. Select no for both and then move on. |

Milito:but my finger print was taken on the day of my submission |

galactico579:Yeah, but it didn't result into a visa. If you select yes, you'll have to compulsorily provide a visa number, which you do not have since you said you've not gotten their visa before. The question was not properly framed. Probably because they are not native English speakers. A simple insertion of 'successful' will reduce the confusion usually faced at this section. Have your digital fingerprints previously been taken in connection with a previous 'successful' application for a Schengen visa? |

Milito:ok thanks |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by davodyguy: 11:12am On Nov 19, 2024 |
galactico579:Isn't it too early to reapply? You were refused for a reason. Have you attempted to address that reason between 15th November to today 19th November, 2024? |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by galactico579: 12:16pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
davodyguy:I don't think is too early. They said there are reasonable doubts I will leave the territory of the member states before the visa expires. |

Africankel:Can you apply for American visa from Another country when you are just visiting? |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Milito: 12:44pm On Nov 19, 2024 |
galactico579:And do you think you will be able to properly address their concerns in a better way than what you did before? Its always better to give it some time, except if you have an important info to share, which was omitted from your previous application, and is expected to significantly influence the outcome. |

cucumbar:Ideally, one needs a resident permit of a country different from one's country of orign if applying for visa to another country from there. But some few people seem to get away with this. I personally know someone on visit visa to the UK, who applied for a US visa from there and got it. |

Delab Regarding your question If you have already booked an appointment with us, there is no change: your appointment will take place at our centre, as planned. However, if you don’t receive a decision on your application before our centre closes, your file and any associated documents will be securely transferred to VFS Global. They will contact you once your travel document is ready for collection or dispatch. From TLS to you |

cucumbar: davodyguy:From the below, it'd seem the US will not request for a resident permit like other countries. You should generally schedule an appointment for your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in the country where you live. You may schedule your interview at another U.S. Embassy or Consulate where you will be present but aware that in some cases it may be more difficult to demostrate your qualifications for a visa outside of the country where you live. |
