No they don't. We currently boss the possession. Onyedika is doing his job brilliantly. Alhassan is all over marking and actually winning his duels and initiating possession.

Bashiru hasn't been in this game in his 10 role. Iheanacho also has been anonymous largely.

Subzerooo:
Rwanda has more possession than us

Boniface has to be one of the most overrated footballers I have seen.
How? When he is not receiving any service from a non existent midfield.

The midfield exists. You are just pushing an Iwobi agenda. Blame Bashiru who isn't interpreting his 10 role not Onyedika and Alhassan who are actually holding that middle game.

The commentator has been sleep-talking with numerous errors, so I'm not surprised. cheesy

We have the larger share of the possession but our forward line has been asleep.

Onyedika has actually been doing well, Alhassan has been chasing his touch all over the midfield, Dele Bashiru has been non existent

They are doing their jobs.. no forward progression.. iheanacho and Boniface waiting for a line breaking pass… alhasaan decided to do a sideways pass.

Get Onyeka on for Dele Bashiru, atleast get control of the midfield then let's see if we can hustle one goal

Bashiru thrives with IWOBI on the pitch.

We lack urgency, bite, and ambition in this game.

And the time Alhassan broke forward progressively and found Nacho, what did Iheanacho do with it?

Onyedika has also progressed 2 passes into the final third from his deep role.

Bashiru is disconnected in his role. It is his role to turn whatever comes into that final third in/through the middle into shot or chance creating actions for his fellow middle third personnel. Iheanacho also should be playing closer to Bashiru due to his technical sense.

This is why I am for an Iwobi over a FDB in a midfield 3 when Onyedika shields and someone like Alhassan is there to break up plays and break the lines.

Also, remind me again how many shots on target we had on target with the 2 man midfield of Iwobi and Ndidi vs Benin?
