Nigeria keep doing this match fixing thing, will definitely get caught one day.
I don’t believe it’s anything like that. This team keeps struggling because we don’t have enough ball playing players. It’s time we tell ourselves the truth.

We find it difficult to stamp our authority in games. This is why Jpes set us up differently in Afcon

The biggest problem with this team is the inability to set up a cohesive attack.

If none of our strikers displays individual brilliance, we will not score any goal.

Ghana just missed a penalty. Niger still lead 2-1 in Ghana.

Kudus Kudn't convert.

That's the poor tactical input we're talking about

I said I never rated JPes Pre-Afcon and for good reasons. But his Afcon performance with his ultra defensive football approach made us a serious powerhouse again.

I said in as much as I am not convinced on his tactical depth but I won't mind having him if we cannot get a better head.

But then Amuneke was meant to be appointed and we failed. We gave it to Finidi. That is where the mistake really happened. Some things need to take place for a real reality check to occur.
But don't you think this reality check is too late? The benefit that I can see is this lights a fire under the bumper of our guys before March.

Remember the immense fight and resilience that our guys showed during the semi final match with South Africa at AFCON? Where did that go?

Small time people will be comparing Eagles club players to the 94 set. Losing at home started with Booda Gernot Rohr and we got comfortable with it. Orientation dey different

OmO sometimes I feel we overate our players so so much or is it coaching problem ?
Displaced passes everywhere
Definitely coaching. From Rhor until now, we have just not had a team philosophy and built on it. We just play anyhow, relying on individual brilliance to bail us out.

The players are good and with sound coaching, they will excel.

For now, our players have not been coached to play ball.

There was a time we lost to CAR at home under Rohr
Same thing I'm saying, after the lose to SA in uyo, we just keep losing to smaller teams at home. It's annoying, we can't call our stadium a fortress.

Well Peseiro was making demands that couldn’t be met. Anyways you’re still right cos Nigerians felt he was not good enough.
Maybe we have to come to reality dt we don’t have d personel to play an effective attacking system style…we. Might av to go peseiro way .we overate dis our players

Meanwhile reduce ur hope of getting the Wc ticket…I don’t c us achieving it except I am ….. 😎

Boniface

12games 0goals

Im out from being a supporter. I'll take a serious and calm Dessers over him moving forward. As i said earlier, the middle of the pitch is where we ought to focus on. Chuks reopened his goalscoring from there to give the lead. Terrible performance from our full backs using just the last AFCON metrics. Osayi was unconvincing. I was worry about Ekong drifting to cover for him, and that's how they got their winner eventually.

This 2man attack crap that AE loves doing, he better not try it if na him go carry us through this WCQ. It is wack and ineffective.

The value of Iwobi to this team skyrockets once again. The Bashiru y'all hype, see how they played rodeo with him.

WC ticket is gone. Removal of Peseiro was the death of this team's rise. That man took us all the way to finals when everyone doubted us.

Why remove a system that was clearly working for everyone?
Will you call Peseiro a system? Can you briefly explain his philosophy. He is one of the reasons we are where we are. The team has not grown in anyway. Scrapping results is not growth.

I wonder why I am stressing myself. You guys can clamour for Rorh and Peseiro.

Forget his heroics in Serie A., Maduka Okoye is not even good enough to be in the squad.

I hope now all the talks of Maduka Okoye will die now

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by lexyman(m):
The Super Eagles' struggles can't be attributed to coaching alone. Anyone still thinking that is misguided. Our real issue lies in our approach to seemingly insignificant matches. We need to cultivate a mindset that treats every game with equal importance, regardless of the opponent or competition.

Complacency has become a major obstacle, and it's crippling our football. We must learn to bring our A-game consistently, avoiding lackluster performances that undermine our potential.

It's time for the team to adopt a winning mentality, where every match matters, and every opponent is treated with respect. Only then can we truly realize our potential and succeed on the international stage."

Exactly, we are now comfortable losing at home. Even the 2015 set of SE that we call our lowest point were not this poor at home.

Reason why i never watch S.E again in years. Pass pass cant retain possession. Cant dribble, cant shoot from distance, wastes freekicks, wastes corner kicks & cant defend it either.

Eguavoen told us he will play like Guardiola, the only thing he has done yet is get us play a high line. We have not seen the coordination in attack that guardiola is known for.

I’m not expecting us to be proficient like Mancity but at least we have to see the players play like people that have a coach.

But you know the bolded is far from the truth. We have the personnel but never have had a coach that truly can play it leading the team.

No need deviating from facts.
