Bro, please... Peseiro is the reason why our world cup qualification hope is hanging in the balance in the first place...
Because he took us to the AFCON semis with haram football doesn't mean he would achieve more if he had continued... We saw the limitations of his style of play in that final against CIV... Once CIV took the lead, we looked clueless..
Have we actually evolved from the haram football since his sacking ??

Are we now X2.5G per match since his sacking

You blame coach but forgot we’ve been parading same set of players since 2015 all to no avail

Isn’t it time to switch it up

Outstanding in the Libya game. Not today.

He held nothing in that midfield.

7demons:
Fisayo
Bashiru
Osayi Samuel
Burno were few outstanding players in today's game.
Osho proved his worth and probably will get called in subsequent games.
Yusuf, Dele-Bahiru and Onyedika held the midfield. Unfortunately, we had weak strikers who couldn't break their opponents' defense.

Players who are capable of taking this team to the next level are not on this setup. You can't have clinical AMs like Chuba Akpom and still be struggling in the final 3rd.

Said on October 11.⤵️ About time we get finally serious on this Creative dept issue. We get coaching to sort out and the team's concentration level but this has stayed an issue for years. Na until Iwobi break leg or get ACL na im we go understand say we got nobody for that creative dept??

TheSuperNerd:
Fisayo is a better ball striker but he is no creator like Iwobi. Fisayo can pass and progress plays with quick passes and use his body in duels but he doesn't have as broad a vision of the field like Iwobi does.

Iwobi remains the main man in our creative midfield unit. Fisayo's biggest plus is his ball striking.

We need another creative head in the team.

Just for emphasis, The Super Eagles are ranked 36th in the FIFA Rankings while Rwanda is ranked 126th. Eguavoen lost at home to a team ranked 126th in the world grin

I am sure you haven't watched Chuba Akpom play for Ajax this season
Someone who can't even make Ajax starting 11
Chuba Akpom is not the solution to our problems

I dunno where we are going to get the personnel to help this team fulfill its potential but since no current solutions in sight, the best bet is to get a tactical genius that will make us play to the strengths of our hot forwards right now. But NFf will/can never see what we are seeing. So.....

Myopic leaders.

I'm saying it again Onuachu wasn't given this much opportunity. Boniface has done nothing since coming into the team.
No goal, no assist, no shot on target. Nada, zilch

I tire for Boniface matter. What is the problem? I saw how he bumbled a pass. Truth is that I have never been convinced about Boniface. He looks clumsy to me but as e dey score for him club, I shelved my skepticism

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Nobody: 8:34pm On Nov 18, 2024
If Boniface must play, then he should not play as a number 9 but as 9 and a half (SS). Tolu of Genk and Elijah of Luton has what it takes to play as a traditional number 9.
I don't know why AE is yet to extend an invitation to Chuba Akpom of Ajax. Akpom is technically gifted to interpret the SS role perfectly.

Let me say it without mincing words, Boniface ain't going to excel in the SE. Anyone who knows the history of Nigerian football has seen exceptional players paint Europe with goals only to see them falter in the green white green. African football doesn't suit Boniface.

Watching Agali and Kanu pair so well amazes me. Two tall and slow players but both complemented each other.
As it stands,It is only Osimhen we have as a 9.
We have seen that the likes of Taiwo,Umar,Dessers,Boniface won't cut it for the SE.
As a coach, I would have also tried the likes of Akpom,Isaac Success and Josh Maja in the SS role.

In midfield, Iwobi is the only creative hub we have. Bashiru ain't the man. Our midfield is blessed with destroyers/water carriers. Chrisantus Uche of Getafe would not solve our midfield woes. Victor Eletu of AC Milan is a top prospect,I just hope he develops quickly.
Ndidi,Onyeka,Onyedika,Uche,Akinsanmiro, Alhassan are all same type of players with a little distinction.
I hate to say it,but Nwakali will bring something different to SE midfield.
We need to go back to a diamond midfield like when we had Oliseh,Okocha and Adepoju doing their job in the midfield.3 different players playing 3 distinct roles effectively or just of recent in 2013,we had Mba ,Obi and Onazi in midfield.
It's high time we drop three between Onyeka,Ndidi,Yusuf and Onyedika.
I suggest we play Iwobi on the wings because that's where he can really thrive.
There is a dearth of a creative midfielder for the SE maybe Eze and Olise would have been an icing on the cake if they were playing for the SE.

we need to revert back to a 3 man defence. I would love to see the return of Leon Balogun. He is a reliable war horse. Osayi was caught off guard severally thereby making Ekong drift to cover his lapses. Can't wait to have Zaidu Sanusi back. Sanusi is defensively disciplined.
A back 3 of Ekong ,Balogun/Ajayi and Bassey is sufficient as we prepare for the WCQ in March.

Going forward we need to deploy a 3-4-3 in our WCQ campaign.

The NFF must quickly appoint a coach for the SE. A coach who is ready to take risks and deploy players who suit his philosophy.

Gabriel Osho will come good for the SE.

So many things to say, let me drop my pen 🖊️ here.

Seun is your solution to our coaching dilemma. While I presented Amuneke since before you all happily welcomed Finidi George and the SE job.

At least, we both know between us both who is being serious.
seun and amuneke both have the same percentage of chance to make impact

Remember, if CAS overturns CAF’s verdict on the botched Libya v Nigeria match, then we would have to get at least a draw vs Libya in the potentially rescheduled game…
Aah! so the libyan FA went to appeal at CAS🤣🤣

This result is unfair to the magical moment of Sanuel Chukwueze. On a day we should have been talking about him being back to his 2019 GWG form in the team, we are just livid with the disgraceful result.

Chukwueze. Another day perhaps.

Eguavoen to continue for me

As regards Nwakali, there is a reason he is still in the convo after all these years, whether we like it or not. He is not up there but he is definitely not out yet.

My brother. I cannot come and kill myself. Just want this WCQs to be over and done with somehow so we know what's next.

As for Nwakali, you are right. And that reason stares us all in the face everytime this Super Eagles team plays. But it is well as long as we have Iwobi playing. Just sad that it is just Iwobi shouldering that creative burden.

Anyway, good to hear from you again. Trust life is getting on just fine over there.

I FORGOT TO ADD...

Solid Congratulations in advance Ademola Lookman. The coast is clear. No votes splitting. With Ekong not in the top 5, we know it is you who will collect all the votes Ekong would have gotten.

The APOTY IS COMING HOME AGAIN!!!
