Why don't we win matches when Onyedika starts
In as much as they want to push Ndidi to the bench he is still a big name in our midfield

Aah! so the libyan FA went to appeal at CAS🤣🤣
Yes 😁
So, if they beat us, all four teams would be level on 8 points. But I now think that, in that scenario, GD would be the first tie-breaker, rather than head-to-head

Daninya33:
If Boniface must play, then he should not play as a number 9 but as 9 and a half (SS). Tolu of Genk and Elijah of Luton has what it takes to play as a traditional number 9.
I don't know why AE is yet to extend an invitation to Chuba Akpom of Ajax. Akpom is technically gifted to interpret the SS role perfectly.

Let me say it without mincing words, Boniface ain't going to excel in the SE. Anyone who knows the history of Nigerian football has seen exceptional players paint Europe with goals only to see them falter in the green white green. African football doesn't suit Boniface.

Watching Agali and Kanu pair so well amazes me. Two tall and slow players but both complemented each other.
As it stands,It is only Osimhen we have as a 9.
We have seen that the likes of Taiwo,Umar,Dessers,Boniface won't cut it for the SE.
As a coach, I would have also tried the likes of Akpom,Isaac Success and Josh Maja in the SS role.

In midfield, Iwobi is the only creative hub we have. Bashiru ain't the man. Our midfield is blessed with destroyers/water carriers. Chrisantus Uche of Getafe would not solve our midfield woes. Victor Eletu of AC Milan is a top prospect,I just hope he develops quickly.
Ndidi,Onyeka,Onyedika,Uche,Akinsanmiro, Alhassan are all same type of players with a little distinction.
I hate to say it,but Nwakali will bring something different to SE midfield.
We need to go back to a diamond midfield like when we had Oliseh,Okocha and Adepoju doing their job in the midfield.3 different players playing 3 distinct roles effectively or just of recent in 2013,we had Mba ,Obi and Onazi in midfield.
It's high time we drop three between Onyeka,Ndidi,Yusuf and Onyedika.
I suggest we play Iwobi on the wings because that's where he can really thrive.
There is a dearth of a creative midfielder for the SE maybe Eze and Olise would have been an icing on the cake if they were playing for the SE.

we need to revert back to a 3 man defence. I would love to see the return of Leon Balogun. He is a reliable war horse. Osayi was caught off guard severally thereby making Ekong drift to cover his lapses. Can't wait to have Zaidu Sanusi back. Sanusi is defensively disciplined.
A back 3 of Ekong ,Balogun/Ajayi and Bassey is sufficient as we prepare for the WCQ in March.

Going forward we need to deploy a 3-4-3 in our WCQ campaign.

The NFF must quickly appoint a coach for the SE. A coach who is ready to take risks and deploy players who suit his philosophy.

Gabriel Osho will come good for the SE.

So many things to say, let me drop my pen 🖊️ here.
Ekong, Ajayi and Omeruo are our CB and they are over 30yrs. We should bring 35 years old Balogun again?

Why can't we just be objective and say the truth, what has boniface, iheanacho and umar done in recent games for the team? Call up should be based on form..

The opportunities in terms of playing time that has been given to Boniface in the Super Eagles and nothing much to show, should be given to the likes Cyriel Dessers.. Boniface is a very average striker , barely moves and lazy. Mofo will struggle badly in the EPL..

This is Okoye's only problem, he dey fear to shout for defenders.

I don’t want to be the one defending Maduka here as I also believe Nwabali should be our number 1 but this your comment is more of a “I’m glad he failed lemme prove my point “.

Stop hating on the guy. Why should we forget his heroics? Is it not to our benefit if he replicates it here?

The goals were even more of the defensive errors.
God bless you bro.

if we miss out from the WC again I will become disengaged with SE, and for me that means football totally since i'm not a club football fanatic. It is what it is.. But Peseiro really started it badly, whatever happens we have to accept.

Same here, nice to always see your takes. The world they boil now there are more pressing issues as i've been more involved with discussion pre/post US elections, plus some projects when I don carry for head.

You know that Iwobi is on and off, but that's why a good back up is necessary.. How did Fisayo, Onyedika, Yusuf, Onyeka fare today?

TheSuperNerd:
My brother. I cannot come and kill myself. Just want this WCQs to be over and done with somehow so we know what's next.

As for Nwakali, you are right. And that reason stares us all in the face everytime this Super Eagles team plays. But it is well as long as we have Iwobi playing. Just sad that it is just Iwobi shouldering that creative burden.

Anyway, good to hear from you again. Trust life is getting on just fine over there.

I dunno where we are going to get the personnel to help this team fulfill its potential but since no current solutions in sight, the best bet is to get a tactical genius that will make us play to the strengths of our hot forwards right now. But NFf will/can never see what we are seeing. So.....

The reason why we have still not found a solid back up for Osimhen is because all these games we keep playing. Sadiq? really? Iheanacho too, at this point. you can say Boniface is putting good numbers at the club. For me he should be warming the bench in the GWG even if you argue that he deserves call up.

Morocco dey use first squad play dead-rubber games, dey win Lesotho 5–0 currently at 47 minutes.

Honestly, it’s tiring at this stage. Osimhen can’t do it all and the likes of Boniface isn’t helping. Boniface is such a lazy player. The lackadaisical approach would be an impediment in maximizing his full potential.

About 30% win rate since 2022 without Osimhen.
This over reliance on him is very disturbing…. These guys needs to wake up and fight for the badge as well!

Remove Osimhen & Lookman from that team and it’s useless!

Introducing osihmen in this game was unnecessary especially for an injury prone player

What’s more painful is other players who threw away the opportunity to establish themselves into the team.

Mehn, would be sad seeing you lock up away from Super Eagles matters but I understand. It is well. I trust the US elections outcome meet you well. 😂 Just take it in your stride.

And to your question regarding today, I will be honest.

Fisayo - Not good.
Onyedika - Good.
Alhassan - Good.
Onyeka - Decent.

It is well, my good man. More power as you face your projects and other pressing matters. Indeed we have stuffs more important than football anyway. 🤝🏻

P.S: Hope to see you come around at least at some point again and again.

In our next game, Boniface and Umar should be dropped for Arokodare and Akpom.

I understand Bashiru was nursing a knock that kept him on the bench against Benin, so I wasn't surprised with his performance tonight as he wasn't fully fit.

That Chukwueze goal is the kind of goal Bashiru do score for us when the match becomes tough.

You need that attacker who can take on 2 -3 players before slotting the ball into the net.

Nigerian Fans base: a base that doesn’t wanna see super eagles lose any match😂🤣.
You lose to Argentina “change coach change coach!!”
You lose to C.A.R them go scream “change coach change coach”!
One player put a decent shift in Europe they will clamour “bring him bring him”!
The player fails to show up them go shout “rubbish player rubbish player”
This coach is defensive and conservative bla bla
This coach doesn’t strike confidence in me.
This keeper is doing well in italy, he should be our number 1, with strong clamour boom!! we lose “he is not ready”.
Nwabali errooor!! Nwabali is gooooood!!
Sanusi is a carpenter!! booom! I miss sanusi
Oh no i miss days of Mikel/Enyeama/victor moses
boom!! mikel weakling midfielder(plays back pass alot)
Victor moses is too proud and doesn’t like to relate with his team mate…boom!! boniface is a comedy-footballer

Make Nigeria get 10straight wins…1 small loss will have fans defining the team’s future and present….
Defensive/attackminded bla bla bla
UNA NO DEY TIRE!!!
like this we should not even play WCqualifiers we cannot win any match again.
Eguavoen is whack!
bring back jpes no sack him bring back rohr..are you mad? when we have Amunike.( Amunike lose 2 matches with heartland, he becomes the highest carpenter coach).
most confused fans base in the world

No be setup. We are already in enough setup. We can as well drop our fifi imagination cos it's best that way. But to miss out twice from the WC will really wrap up the entire imagination, expectation and any -tion.
For now, we just need the best technical hands to flourish.

Oga, that was not our problem o, despite the content creators chuks still score one of the best goals I have ever seen from a Nigerian player.

Moreover it’s a dead rubber game, is that why our players can’t be professional enough and respect the uyo fans and use it as a way to appreciate them for all the support? Carelessness cost us the game, don’t blame the journalists for this. Journalists can’t be responsible for a team conceding two goals in 3 minutes

Uhhh... easy man. Fisayo's ball striking is good but abeg he has not scored the kind of goal Chukwueze executed today. He has not come close to scoring such. Chukwueze took on 3 players before he hit the net. Fisayo have not scored in such manner in the GWG.
