lbrichman2:Dang!!! I really want this deal to happen. We need a good striker infront of goal which Victor Osimhen will deliver that perfectly. Dude is a fighter, fast paced and passionate.. |

TheSuperNerd:In my opinion we do already have a team that can score goals, even if we do not; I'm not sure that our coaches are adventurous enough to integrate anyone new into that midfield at this point... That said, realistically making use of our regular invitees is the way. However, looking at the player profiles the setups have always been wrong. The best system for our current group of players is a 4-2-3-1 A 4-3-3 will not work for the following reasons: 1. There's no natural number 6 to recycle the ball and glue the midfield together (Nwakali is about the only Nigerian player who can do a good job there, but of course we do not want to hear it) 2. We do not have pure wingers.. the only pure winger we have is Moses Simon, playing him on the right (hugging the lines which is his strength )and Ademola (inverted) on the left always causes a tactical imbalance when our full backs (who also enjoy hugging the lines) join the attack which a few days training (typical of National teams cannot fix). A 3-4-3 will not work because we tend to have five men at the back without the ball instead of a four or five man mid-field without the ball as it should be, leaving us very thin in the midfield more like a 5-2-3 without the ball, the midfield is then overrun repeatedly For instance Benin Away first half.. iheanacho was played on the right wing (which is scandalous by the way) without the ball I would have instructed him to tuck into mid-field and lead the press in that zone if I was the coach, instead he was just all over the place... 4-2-3-1 on the other hand will not need so many tactical instructions, the players will adapt easily and play at their best. The back four basically picks itself: Midfield pairing of Ndidi and Onyedika should start --- Ndidi the ball winner, Onyedika the distributor. Chukwueze on the right (inverted) Aina next to him hugging the lines to deliver crosses. Ademola on the left (inverted) Onyemachi next to him hugging the lines to deliver crosses Iwobi in the hole, Osimhen up top. This setup will deliver goals and can easily be implemented with little training, it is to be noted however that if Osimhen is not available in the system the second choice is not Boniface ( that guy is not a traditional number 9) this is why we need Taiwo Awóníyì to start playing regularly for his club It's not rocket science really |

typicalgamer:Rankings play a huge part in football, if not people will not be here angry that we lost to a 126th ranked team in the world, if not people will not term some leagues backwater leagues and drop the UEFA Ranking Coefficients here. Yes, no be rankings dey play ball, but rankings are important and either gives your team respect or see finish - your ranking alone fit scare opponents before them enter pitch with you seff. Maybe when we drop enter 50th, you go understand how important rankings dey. |

Owngoalnigeria have started their usual reports about foreign coaches lining up for the SE job, we will be seeing the same rigmarole of NFF paid articles from different sites about them searching for a coach when we all know they will end up claiming no foreign coach wanted the job and re-assign Eguavoen as interim for the WCQs. |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Goke7: 8:28pm On Nov 20, 2024 |
BankyGee:😂 the painful thing is that if you continue to drop in the rankings the more difficult to get back up except you win a major tournament like Afcon or a good World Cup performance like getting to the quarter finals which is never easy omo you go wallow down that ranking for donkey years. I can’t even remember when last we were even in top 20 or 15. |

Things we need going forward; 1. A Sound coach (let Government pay him from our fuel subsidy, that's the only way the whole Nigeria will benefit from it. 2. A right wing back to compete with Aina (Ehizibue) 3. Attacking midfielder to compete with Iwobi (Chrisantus Uche) 4. A right winger to compete with Chukwueze 5. A motivator to stir up the intimidating Nigerian spirit in them (a former super eagle player) |

Joezinho:The problem is poor comprehension with many here. No one supported Libya. I repeat no one supported Libya. How such a simple point as there are lapses on our end we can improve on equate to supporting Libya beats my imagination. |

Joezinho:How can many missing such a point and keep running with misconceptions over and over again. For months, I keep repeating the same thing. Na wa. My posts are not meant to condone the actions of the Libyans. It is about addressing gaps and improving on ourselves. How wanting us to improve in hospitality means to some supporting Libya is absolutely shocking. |
