I'm currently in 400L. Got admitted in 2017.
The person who registered my jamb profile skipped my middle name.
I want to add the middle name on jamb so my school will effect it and all three names will show on my certificate.
I went to jamb office and was told you can't add name but you can only correct a misspelled name.
Can someone help me here? I don't know what to do.

Same issue, I used only two names without my middle name starting from my primary testimonial, waec, jamb, voters card, national ID, bank, etc.

I later realised that I should have included my middle name in all my documents (though it wasn't my fault).

Currently in 4/5. I just dey wait jeje to graduate first get all my necessary certificates and then go for change of name later if there's any need for that.

I will advice u wait till after graduation

Yours is better because you have those two names on all your documents. For me every other document except jamb (which is also the one registered in school), contains 3 names.
And the school is going to put only 2 names on my certificate.

Ok, I understand better now.
Meet your department officer, faculty officer or even student adviser of your department/faculty and explain this to him/her, the person will advice you on what to do.

A friend of mine had name issue when we gained admission. In our year 2, this issue was resolved through the help of our faculty officer.
He sworn an affidavit, published the corrected name in a recognized newspaper house, and went to JAMB office to do regularisation.

Go through your department/faculty.

Please how did you solve this issue?
Because I have the EXACT same issue right now tho I am in 200l,I no fit sleep well again

I went to my HOD and she referred me to Academic Affairs. Academic affairs sent the issue to ICTC, and they effected the correction. I was told my certificate will bear whatever name is on my school portal and my school portal displays the complete names now.

But your jamb still has two names abi? Won't this affect your nysc? I heard when your name in certificate dosen't tally with the one in jamb, it can bring alot of problems.

Bro have you solved the issue? Nysc is also collecting details from NIN which makes my problem much bigger. How did you do yours?

I won’t be able register for Nysc if I can’t get the names corrected

I'm also having the same issue. And I think if your name doesn't tally, you won't be able to register for Nysc. I don't know what to do.

I have submitted my correction of name form at my school and I would like to know if it the correction will reflect on the nysc portal since my name is already there. I need help please.

Hello, is there anyone that has rectified the names? I want to change to 2 names instead of the 3 names i.e removing the third name on JAMB profile so as to tally with my certificates to proceed for service but its not being possible for me. Is there anyone that has a solution, pls reply under this post. Thanks

Pls, have you been able to resolve this issue... I'm having similar problem .... My middle is IGBERAESE but abbrevated on jamb with the first initials as I ... Any how how to get it fully spelled on jamb

Yes @ Dr Jude Jamb official help in correcting my misspelt name and issued me another new Jamb printout copy and I have checked my names reflect successful on Jamb portal
