North are not United either. They have never been United. Their path to power has always been in collaboration with

SE/SS 1960-1967 1979-1984, 1999-2011

SW 2015-2023

The North has always had 4 factions

The sokoto/Kaduna axis, Kano axis, Borno axis and the middle belt axis and they rarely see eye to eye politically. The middle belt tends to be aligned with the sokoto Kaduna axis otherwise they have always been 4 distinct and polarized factions.

The north has never in the history of Nigeria won an election as a United front without alliance with a southern partner even though they have the votes.

The politics of the NW has always been based on conservatism, kano has always been populist/socialist radical enclave, The Borno axis has always been based on the fact that they feel they are not part of the hausa/Fulani hegemony. The middle belt as a northern minority have always tended to partner with the NW axis, the main power brokers, based on self preservation.

Look at the history of Northern politics from 1952, the party that controls Kano and the Borno axis is usually different from the main Northern (sokoto/kaduna) party.

The worse mistake anambara and igbos are making is to wellcome and give free hands to the abakaleke people, those guys are heartless, ungrateful and very jealous, they have ended up bringing igbos down under agitation for an impossible Biafra yet their state is very peaceful and fast developing, igbos should see abakaleke as the real Fulani, avoid them so that igboland will be great again, abakaleke hates igbos
