And.., you're right. UBC says that they'll reach out to successful applicants by month end. I did send them an enquiry yesterday .
I love that they're actually responsive to enquiries.

I get you, yeah, that's what is on the website...but at least someone has to get selected to apply... Besides, it may be a case of "high volume of applications" and they may need to extend the due date slightly (I hope sha)...

Yeah, I put a call through, the woman on the other end is lovely. Very helpful, and though at first, she wasn't trying to be direct but eventually said that decisions should be communicated between Monday and Tuesday, and worst case, by the end of the week. So, let's wait till the end of November.

No I haven't either but I sent them an email, I received an automatic response that state that their applications has close, and all applicants will be notified for the final decision by early 2025. Later on, one of their team reply that Candidates will know more by January 2025. What I don't understand is if there is still an interview before applying to the school(for shortlisted candidates) or not. This wasn't their initial statement, according the initial, it is only candidates who are shortlisted for both the scholarship and admissions that will be notified by Late January 2025.

I later email them again to clarify this what they said "Finalists have been asked to interview. The process is on a rolling basis where everyone will know the final decision in January 2025".

I know the application for MCF at ASU ended about 25 days ago. I'm wondering if anyone has a timeline on when we will hear from ASU just like MCGILL has.
I've checked their website they have no timeline.

If you take a look at ASU FQA during the application, it was stated there when asked. They answered that they uses a format which is called Qualtrics Software, which enable them to receive your application when you applied. This implies that they don't send acknowledgment, but the software notified them to receive and access applications when submitted.

In this regard, I also couldn’t find any updates about them, so I emailed them. Apparently, they are not the type to provide early notices or updates about applications, leaving applicants in suspense until they reach out. I received a response from them yesterday when I inquired about the status, as they mentioned shortlisting for interviews this month. What I posted yesterday reflects their current updates on the applications. For now, I’m not focusing too much on it, but I encourage you to stay hopeful since the process is ongoing. All the best

I haven't yet, and frankly, I don't want to give up, but once it's December 1 (Vancouver time), that's it....it's over.

I don't know. But I've seen people for forestry. Infact, the 2 years research masters for forestry got their decisions sent since Nov 18th.

What they said was if you don't get a decision by November ending, then you are not shortlisted. But what's giving me concern is that the first stage is only subject to the eligibility requirements so one can get a fee waiver to apply to UBC directly. Eligibility requirements include having the required cgpa, age requirements, submitting all documents like references, CV, transcripts,banswering all essay questions etc.

Why is that giving you concern tho, no offense?

I think for this first stage, they priorities grades over other requirements, so that selected students will eventually get admitted at UBC, cos of how selective the school admission process is.
Anyone who hasn't received a mail yet should move on and hope for positive response from other applications. E pain me sha, but we move

I've seen people with First Class degrees and high grades who are yet to get the emails. Particularly for the other courses except forestry.

Well, that's insane. A looooot of people must've applied this time around. People want to leave the country by all means
