OP I got this one for our home since last and it has 6 lamps and a charging port. It charges my phone but I don’t use to plug my power bank there cos it’s 20000mah and I don’t use to charge all the time. Of course it’s paid subscription. You will definitely enjoy this one and for those saying it spoils phone do you know sunking has the one that powers tv and gotv/dstv at the expense of the solar and you’re telling me it spoils phone. If it can power the then whats a phone ? FYI this is not the one that powers tv this is just the one I got last year. 👍🏼
if subscription is not an issue instead of the sunking it is better to go for the mtn solar box ... it is reliable to charge all phones, laptop, and can power 24 inch tv with dstv/gotv decoders comes with bulb But you must recharge monthly.

My friend as being using his own over 6years now

Is it strong enough to charge my phone whenever there is power outage? And can I also use it to charge my romoss 30kmah power bank?

It's around 40k on jumia
No. I have one that will do that. 55k

It has 2 bulbs, panel, 2 usb ports for charging, 4 solar points for bulbs, fans, battery is 12v4.5A.
Mini fan is optional/replaceable with the bulbs

DIVINEEVIDENCE:
That thing is intended to charge that light it comes with.

This is how solar systems work: you have the solar panel, the charge controller, the power storage (battery) and the inverter which converts DC to AC.

If you need to charge your phone and power bank, either you purchase a power system which accepts Solar panel as input and gives you a USB port as output.

Otherwise, assemble your own solar system as I outlined above.

That lantern has a tiny charge controller and battery inside, that's why it'll comfortably admit a solar panel input.

If you wish to roast your phone, then you can go ahead and plug it directly to a solar panel.

Re: Who Has Used This Solar Device Before? by nwirinedu(m): 10:53am On Nov 28, 2024
Depends on the power rating of the device and your phones battery capacity.

if your phone has a 5000mah battery than you need a solar charger with 10000mah to comfortably charge your phone.

Anything with a power rating of 3000mah cannot provide sustained charge for smart phones as the battery capacities are becoming bigger than 5000mah

it will kill ur ba3

It will charge it, no doubt. Even potato plugged to cord can charge phone, but the stuff will deplete the Lithium-ion capacity in the ba3.

The solar good enough for such convenience would be in 500k and above... anything less is a product of China child factory, not different from Igbo made(Aba naya).

I git a cheap 1kva inverter 40ah battery 12v/24v solar charge controller and 12v battery charger for 125k. Portable and strong enough to power your household items excluding fridge and AC

Check the wattage, it can't charge it properly boss

If you plug it there's possibility you will see it charging but it's just playing cos it will kill your phone battery
Re: Who Has Used This Solar Device Before? by andy4d2ofus(m): 11:08am On Nov 28, 2024
Please bro do not use it to charge your phone I beg you in the name of God unless you are ready to change your phone battery soon . It will degrade your battery life in less than two weeks. I repeat don't use to charge your phone speaking from experience.

I disagree

180watt panel, 60ah battery, 20ah charge controller, & 500w inverter is enough to charge his phone, & power bank conveniently even when watch his led tv and this whole thing is not up to 500k despite weak naira

Re: Who Has Used This Solar Device Before? by kachistone: 11:19am On Nov 28, 2024
It can charge your phone. My younger brother has it in his farm and I used it to charge my phone severally when I visited his farm and stayed with him for days.

Mind you, my phone has a 5,000 mAh battery and it charged it well.

I think he bought it when it was less than 15k.

This nonsense 39k...we are just lazy in Africa including me. I will look into this direction from now. Look like many Nigerians are in your condition. What you need is at least 200W/300w panel and a small power station with few lithium batteries. This will range from 60 to 100k. It should power your laptop and may be television as well at peak hours. If you have an old computer UPS. What you need is just a solar panel and a bulk converter.
Re: Who Has Used This Solar Device Before? by essentialone(m): 11:26am On Nov 28, 2024
Avoid that nonsense thing completely.

This is a bigger one nah as compared to the one he is talking about.
And is very costly.
Mine is even 600x and charges all mobile gadgets. It can carry television too.

But he is talking about small economical version of it that can only take care of his phone and power bank.

..
.
It can't charge your phone optimally ....
..
For a solar system to be ideal, you need to know the capacity of its panel(s) and it's battery bank....
..
In this case, that system will have at most 4-5 pieces of 3.7v batteries which is okay for the lamp, but for you to charge other devices from that same battery bank & expect it to serve optimally. .huh?... It wont

I don't think that will offend the Igbos, it should rather be a credit to them. Me don't even know that they (Igbos) produce electronics.

You see manual for a device.... You want to short cut and add more.... When your money waste don't come and cry scam.... Won't common sense tell you that the lamp have way lower power rating..... And won't even get fully 100 to even function well??
