Despite presenting himself as a Southern president, most of Tinubu's appointments are heavily concentrated in the South West, particularly in Lagos and Ogun states, a clear display of tribalistic leadership. Now, he wants to "reform" taxes in a way that seems to disproportionately favor Lagos. Meanwhile, the entire country continues to thrive off the South-South's oil resources.

Everything Tinubu has touched has proven catastrophic for Nigerians, often rushed and poorly thought out. If he is already centralizing power and resources to benefit his region, what assurance is there that the proposed tax reforms and restructuring won't follow the same pattern, especially given how hastily he wants to implement them?

Only a truly nationalist leader, like Obasanjo, should be entrusted with restructuring Nigeria. Leaders driven by regional bias, like Tinubu and Buhari, are unfit for such a critical task. Nigerians must resist allowing such individuals to determine the fate of this great nation, lest they usher in even greater calamity.

All tribalists are unfit. They shouldn't be allowed to "restructure" Nigeria, that's my point. Tinubu and Buhari have already proven themselves to be bigots.

It should be very clear to even the blind that SE opposition to Tinubu is rooted mainly that Tinubu is focused on restructuring the country back to true fiscal autonomy and responsibility to states.

I predicted this long ago that ibos will never agree to restructuring Nigeria.

The excuses they are providing for opposing the tax reform bill are all pure lies. The reason the oppose the reform bill is because it allows for states to keep 50% of what they generated as against the current cheating formula that benefits the SE more than even the north.

The opposition to the coastal highway is another pointer to Ibo hatred towards the SS and fear of a socio economic bridge between the SW and SS which will definitely translate to a solid political alliance in future .

I never voted not supported Tinubu but all his policies so far are the best no matter how painful they are, they are meant to strengthen each and every state to look inward and to dismantle the corrupt and inept central government.

Ibos are not a sincere people unlike northerners who are openly stating the reasons why they are opposed to the tax and vat reform bill which is the sharing formula unlike ibos who benefit from the current cheating that are hiding under their lies and propaganda.

The OP knows very little about Nigeria and its politics. Tribalism has ever been part of Nigerian politics. That what what killed Abiola, Ken Saro Wiwa. In the core north, it is more pronounced than every other place, among the same people, religion plays a vital role to job security, promotion, allocation of social amenities.
I want to let this fellow know that SW nobody is complaining. Among igbos, people see members of APC as outcasts. The erstwhile members of Igbo people in APC decamped at the emergence of Peter Obi as the Labour Party presidential flag bearer.. Amaechi and Ngige that would have bridged the gaps went away. Votes did not come for Tinubu from the SE. The north wanted to deal with Tinubu the way of Abiola after he was used to enthrone Buhari, they changed the goal post the event that led to the popular emilokan.
Besides, we at a critical stage of our national development. I don't really believe that anymore of this people, including Obi can deliver Nigeria. The nation has been taught wrong values by their generation. We are now more disunited than ever before. A fetus in the womb knows which tribe and religion it belongs to. No part of the nation is not tribalized: education, military, ministries and parastatals, everything. More force to contend with is Islamic incursion sponsored by the Middle East. While the south is shouting progress and equity, the north is sponsoring domination and suppression, the SE self determination, SS oil control. The Middle Belt is bewildered, no direction.

Both are very self-centred, tribalistic and (in Buharis' case) religious bigots and ethnic supremacists who want to sustain a Yoruba/Fulani hegemony over the rest of dumbass Nigerians! Hope we can still remember all the 'promises' of restructuring these criminals gave during campaigns for the 2015 presidential elections, and how Tinubu in particular used to wax lyrical about all the ills and dysfunction of the Nigerian polity? They snatched and grabbed the keys to Aso-Rock in 2015, owing largely to the weakness of GEJ, and have held on to said keys till date yet NOTHING has been done to restructure Nigeria so every region/ethnicity can own and control their own resources while paying tax to the centre as the post independence constitution stipulated, and so every region/ethnicity can police their own region and not have their security sabotaged or undermined by hegemonic enemies in Abuja! Of course you will see some token gestures which they will tell you is 'Tinubu restructuring Nigeria', but that's all bullshit aimed at trying to fool naive Nigerians and give the impression something is being done! This is a very misleading post.

Tinubu is a nationalist and has shown that in his leadership.

His appointments reflect merit and experience, not tribalism.
