When You Realize Tithing Didn't Make Solomon Or Elon Musk World Richest Men

The length to which the prosperity preachers were taking the matter of tithing, one would think tithing has made many tithers, themselves inclusive, the richest men in the world, however that couldn't be any further from the truth, because tithing has never made any man to become world's richest, not even one.

Even king Solomon, the only man the Bible called world's richest, it wasn't tithing that made him to become the richest man in history.

In fact God Himself (who made Solomon richer than all those who lived before and after him) said the reason He gave Solomon such an unprecedented amount of riches, was because Solomon didn't ask for riches for himself, but the things that mattered to God.

1 Kings 3:11-13 (KJV)

And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment;
Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.

Furthermore the reason God gave for making Solomon the richest man that ever lived, also puts the idea being sold by prosperity preachers, that one needs to seek or strive for earthly riches or financial prosperity (as they do) to become rich in the mud, because Solomon didn't ask or seek after such things beforehand, just the things that mattered to God, yet all of the riches of all the prosperity seeking preachers in history combined cannot come close to matching the riches of king Solomon.

Just to illustrate how rich King Solomon became, he made silver and gold to become as stones in Jerusalem.

2 Chronicles 1:15 (KJV)

And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.

That should already give an idea of the telling impact and ripple effect his riches had upon the lives of his people, Israel. It was to the extent the most precious metals, silver and gold, become as many as stones in their land.

That is what it truly means to be prosperous, when the prosperity reaches everyone that no one has lack among the people even as it was in the early church (Acts 4:34-35), not the kind of today's prosperity preachers that will be flaunting their earthly riches and even bragging about being dangerously rich in the faces of their members, while many of them yet wallow in abject poverty[/b]

So do not fall for the numerous false teachings and heresies of the prosperity preachers that you have to tithe or seek after prosperity to prosper.

The instance of king Solomon in the bible alone already proves that notion to utterly false and baseless.

If it were by tithing or seeking after such things, the Pharisees would have been some of the richest men ever, because they loved tithing more than anything else and were highly covetous men, yet instead of God giving them exceeding riches as He gave Solomon, it was an abundance of rebuke that Jesus gave to them because of their covetousness which made them placed monetary matters as tithing above things that were more important to God.

That also suggests why God never made any man world richest in the Bible because of tithing, because there were things that mattered more to Him, as those Jesus spoke about when rebuking the Pharisees.[/b]

That's the sort of thing Solomon sought after instead of financial prosperity or earthly riches for himself that made God enrich him above anyone else before or even after him.

It was also the sort Job sought after that made God also enrich him above anyone else in the East (which includes the whole of the Asian continent). So his wasn't also via tithing. Job 1:3,10, 42:12.

Therefore you have a greater chance of being world's richest if you seek after God and the things that matter most to Him even as King Solomon and also Job did, instead of earthly riches and prosperity for yourself as do these prosperity seeking preachers.

That's also aligns with the teachings of Jesus which teaches us not to seek after such things as the gentiles do, but to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness first, and all these things shall be added unto us. Matthew 6:32-33

The whole point of this topic is that when you tithe, make prayer requests or do whatever you want to do unto God, let it not be because you were seeking prosperity or riches for yourself from God, instead let it be because you love God and were seeking after His kingdom and righteousness, that's the only time whatever you do would please God.

And you know what that possibly means - Ask King Solomon, world richest man that ever lived.

Nigerian pastors have cunningly and smartly tied their unquestioning congregations to tithing for their own selfish reasons.

Heck, they even want first fruits and whatever

So, pastors are gaining weight and amassing assets while members are shrinking

Anyway, the members deserve whatever they get. A fool and his money are soon parted

I have come to realise that the whole idea of tithing has no spiritual significance.

It is merely designed for pecuniary gains.

It is fraudulent to insist that Christians must pay tithe.

When I realized this in 2021, I stopped paying tithe. From then up to now, doing the same job, I have achieved more than the whole period I was paying tithe. I'm not saying I'm the richest man in my community or profession. It's my own story.

Una no wan still get sense for this tithing of a thing. Dem no dey force u to pay now. Infact for church,when I get broke I no dey stand up for my seat during offering time. Nobody go from force me to stand. So what's d fuss!

The very people who argue in favor of tithing are the very ones that have been paying it since they wereborn, but have not become even millionaires themselves.

The poor feel like God rewards their tithing with good health, house rent on time, children taking first position in class, etc. but not wealth.
While the same poor think that the reward of tithing to the rich are the same things, but with plenty wealth added to it.

Now, please, can anyone tell me what business Oyedepo, Adeboye, Enenche, Selman, Orokpo, Arome Osayi, etc. did before they entered into ministry full time.

If your tithe didn't make you rich, it made them rich.

Religion survives on threats of an imaginary place of suffering for doing (or failing to do) certain things.
I wonder which God will create beings, loves them so much that he sacrificed his ONLY son for himself to forgive their sins. Yet that same loving God goes ahead to create a place of eternal fire that'll burn his lovely children who commit sin. The same sin that God washed away by sacrificing his son.

I tithe and the reason is that church needs money to run, fuel generators, pay workers etc not because of pastors ..

And my church isn’t one of those one-Man owned Daddy Go churches that manages inflow and outflow with wives and children as signatories

Another thread with the sole purpose of discouraging the propagation of Gods word or message.

You use the false teachers or insincere priests as justification, whereas you don't proffer any alternative how to propagate the message.
Go and find out how difficult it is if spread Gods word these days especially over the internet.
