Nollywood actress and former beauty queen Princess Chineke has made a surprising career shift by joining the U.S. Army, becoming the first Nollywood star to enlist in the American military. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Previously known for her roles in popular Nigerian films and TV shows, Princess was also a contestant in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. Now, she has opted for a life of service, trading her glamorous career for the discipline and duty of the military.

Princess announced her decision on social media, sharing her pride in her new role as an American soldier:

I'm an American Soldier,
I am Member of a team,
We are the Army and Proud of Our name ,
We are the Army and Proudly Proclaim.
I answered the call of Service to my Country, to serve the people of United States.
This i will defend, So help me God.
God bless America.

She wouldn't have joined it for a GreenCard but she could have joined it to facilitate her citizenship and further widen her opportunities of getting outstanding jobs as a veteran.

GREENCARD is now a mandatory requirement for enlistment in the United States Army.
It wasn't like this before.
Before, even students could get enlisted and move up the ladder to becoming GreenCard holders, then citizens.
