I like the way this administration has curbed all those useless embassies all over the world, with nothing to show for it.
^^^
This is grossly inaccurate.

The administration didn't 'curb' anything. The BAT government in its usual tardy, inept, 'anyhow' manner - has simply failed to appoint ambassadors to several countries - for over a year. This is definitely not a planned, intentional, cost cutting measure. It just demonstrates a lack of focus and seriousness - and these shortcomings are things the BAT administration is justly notorious for. undecided

I’m telling you there are no places like that in Nigeria.

Compare Capetown to world class cities, not shitholes cities in Nigeria .

NO, You have not been to Capetown. In fact, you have not been outside Nigeria before.

If you have, you won’t write what you just wrote.

Village boy, travel go city, visit places like Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki, VGC etc you will marvel you are in Nigeria...there are places more beautiful than what you are seeing in that picture, Infact, there are places exactly like that in some part of Jos where foreigner live because of the weather in Jos.

You think every part of Nigeria must look like your village.

Oga just because you are not privileged to live in beautiful places in Nigeria doesn't mean there are no beautiful places in Nigeria, The wealthiest black man Dangote and his fellow Billionaires lives in beautiful places in Nigeria not in slums or places that looks like your village, some of them have houses abroad too...use your head
you are really daft. I won’t waste my time with a low life like you.
Stick to what you know.

We are talking of beautiful cities , not one community where dangote or whoever stays.

Where have you been to outside Nigeria, you fuulll?

When people that know better than you are talking, stay humble and learn.

If you are not an agbadorian, which I’m guessing you are, God might give you an opportunity to see outside so your eyes go clear.

But if you are an agbadorian, Thunder go fire you, and you’ll die poor, because agbadorians love poverty .

When will you travel out of your crib to some beautiful places in Nigeria undecided . Even some places like Calton gate and Akobo estate in Ibadan are way more beautiful than these and there are still lots of paradise on earth in Lagos, PH, ABJ, JOS and even Kano.
The issue with Nigeria is just that if you don't have money you won't enjoy this country.
Nigeria is designed to work for the rich only😎

I am not presenting 'opinions'. The Tinubu administration recalled 83 ambassadors in September 2023. As at today, those ambassadorial positions still remain vacant. undecided This is not how serious countries work.

Excerpt from your cold hard source:

Funding issue

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, in May 2024, said the paucity of funds was responsible for the delay in appointing ambassadors for Nigeria.

The minister said President Tinubu’s administration was facing a significant financial and economic challenge, saying the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had not been receiving the necessary funding to operate effectively.

He noted that it was pointless to appoint ambassadors without the financial resources to support their travel and the effective running of missions abroad.

“We met a situation where Foreign Affairs was not being funded the way it should be. It is a money problem. There is no point sending out ambassadors if you do not have the funds for them to even travel to their designated country and to run the missions effectively. One needs funding,” he said.

Despite these hurdles, Tuggar had assured that the government was addressing the issue. “Mr President is working on it and it will be done in due course,” he said.

.
As you can see what the foreign minister said is along the lines of what i had said and not in anyway related to what you are insinuating. There are political jobbers wanting to be hired as ambassadors that will crucify the government for not "quickly" hiring ambassadors. Cutting your cloth according to your size is no longer possible in Nigeria, we have to cut our cloth according to our yard. Then slim down to fit into it. We don't need 83 Ambassadors physically present in all these countries. We can use technology to have the foreign minister control the embassy staff and visit as needed.

Please next time read and comprehend the articles without a prior biased approach. Then try to figure out whats the motive of the writer. Whats the official view of the person targeted with the write up.

STUPID EMPTY HEAD. The oldest man-made structures in the world are located in South Africa. The oldest MINES in the world are located there, dating TENS OF THOUSANDS YEARS OLD, before any white people existed on this Earth.

Iron smelting was invented in Africa, with the earliest smelting site discovered in Lejja, S.E Nigeria, and dated to 2600 BCE.

In fact a PAINT FACTORY showing evidence of knowledge of chemistry, was discovered in South Africa and carbon dated to 100,000 years old.

So better get it into your colonised, brainwashed-to-feel-inferior head that AFRICA is the CRADLE OF CIVILISATION. And that without Africans, who invented writing, mathematics, architecture, medicine, philosophy, laws, the sciences and the arts, there would be NO MODERN WORLD to speak of today.

You still don't have an argument.

Your government recalled 83 ambassadors in September last year and has done nothing since then. If funding (or whatever ) is the issue then consolidate your embassies or use the diplomatic resources of allies in these 83 countries. That's what serious countries do. You don't remain in limbo for over a year and then give mealy mouthed excuses about funding. That's not the way it works.

Your comment about the foreign minister using technology to 'control' embassy staff and visit 'as needed' says it all really. grin

malali:
Please next time read and comprehend the articles without a prior biased approach.
^^^
Now this is funny.

You should take your own advice.

I will reiterate: serious countries do not recall 83 of their ambassadors for over a year without replacement...and then blame a funding constraint. This lack of purpose stands out in bold relief particularly when your principal is constantly travelling from one potential aid donor country to another. The least he can do is properly sort out diplomatic representation in those countries. undecided

It isn't that hard.
