You must do another medical and update the IRCC with your new medical via a webform so they can update your file. Do not forget to print the web form confirmation email and Medical Information Sheet (the one you receive between 10-14 days after doing the medical) and travel with it if IRCC does not reissue the Letter of Introduction.
damyzel:
Good day Guys,

Please advice,
1. what do we do if our medical is going to expire before we travel.
2. My resumption was suppose to be April but school was deferred to Aug. resumption. hope this is not going to affect the visa for entry.

Thanks, please advice oooooo.

You can use it, madam. Lots of students are studying in Canada with Mpower loans. In your submission to IRCC, discuss the importance of the program to your ambition in Nigeria, the job opportunities, and whether acquiring such knowledge and skills in the proposed program can lead to a promotion. Your goal is to convince the VO that the program is worth the expense.

Timeofgod:
Good day all.

Please I need your advice on how to go about this, I have a total of 38m in my account transferred to me by my husband, he is my sponsor. I have 5m for miscellaneous am using mpower loan for 2yrs tuition (Msc program)the money is from the sell of one of our lands, his salary and some allowance over the years. Is it advisable to use mpower loan now? Is it true that those using mpower loan are been refused? How else can one get fund for tuition without using mpower please. I need sincere advice on how to go about this whole thing

Let's face the truth and set aside sentiment. The recent delays in processing times can be attributed, in part, to the significant influx of international students applying for asylum in Canada. Recent data reveals that over 13,000 international students have submitted asylum claims in the first eight months of this year 2024.

This trend is largely driven by two factors: financial constraints that prevent students from paying tuition fees, and the misconception that studying in Canada guarantees Permanent Residency.
To maintain the integrity of Canada's immigration system, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) must conduct thorough vetting procedures to ensure that only genuine students receive visas. This rigorous process may lead to increased visa refusals, potentially affecting even legitimate applicants who will face stricter scrutiny and prolonged processing times.

You are absolutely correct about the ADR requiring an updated bank statement within 7 days, with a focus on any lump sum deposits!

They are debating already, if to put a permanent cap on International students admmissions at the house of commons.

They are still debating on what decision to make on int student. But I think they are all confused on what to do.

Surely, more control will be introduced with the current rate of int students claiming asylum, and as the majority of Canadians are likely to support any form of regulation.

Goodday everyone.
Please i need urgent advice.
I applied for a study permit extension 28days before it expired so that i can complete my studies which ends next week, but uptil now IRCC has not responded.
Now, my study permit has expired.
I have another LOA to start another course in February 2025. I was hoping to get the first extension approved before appling for another extensionfor the second course.
Should i just send my new LOA to IRCC? Do i need to submit updated bank statement to show POF?
Note that my first course which ends next is no longer eligiblefor pgwp but this new course is eligible.
Also note that i am here in Canada with my husband and children, and i also applied for extensionfor them which is still pending.

Please please advise me on what to do.
Kurukuru:
Your comment is reasonable. I am not here to make an unnecessary braging since I wont earn a trophy here. You can't even recognise me if I meet you at the Montreal Airport. I am only here so that people can make the right and informed decision. Those they mentioned had applied before September 1. Even if you applied on August 30, you still benefit from the temporary policy.

Having a visit visa and return to Nigeria after your authorized stay as a visitor is a POSITIVE factor. Once you apply for your study permit from outside after your returned visit, Chinnok will flag you to the officer as a 'trusted applicant". You see the recent approval. The couple came to Canada on visit and they respected the condition of their stay based on Section 179(1)(b) of the IRPR. They are trusted applicants.

Then why turning a positive factor to a neutral factor with this advice they are giving to you?

Vankayyyyy:
It’s PPR everyone🥹… it’s been God all the way, this journey was not an easy one but am forever grateful and another special thanks to Bobomaigida for his unlimited assistance and support.

I sent several webforms and emails to all the Ircc email addresses I can get online after I submitted the request letter but no positive response. Even sent to MP as well no response. Two days ago, I stumbled upon some set of new Ircc email addresses I saw here and I decided to send another mail to all of them. Fortunately for me , PPR dropped last night around 8:25pm. Have attached the email address for anyone that’s still waiting for response from Ircc, God will come through🙏

My Application was 20weeks old

Study permit extension should be made 30days before expiry of the permit,But there is no how your study permit has expired before a decision is made,it is still valid until a decision is made on the application, as long as it is not restoration of status.
If you decide to make another application, it may require you to apply for a restoration of status and pay the correct fees.
Study permit extension applied together with SOWP takes 5 to 6 months for a decision to be made, your spouse must have received authorisation to continue work until a decision is made on the application on maintained Status if applied for work permit.
I suggest send new LOA to IRCC if on same DLI continue studying till a decision is made, updated bank statement not necessarily needed.

Hello guys, please has anyone traveled to Nigeria lately and returned on a study visa, are there checks at the POE , what does she need to go with please and can she spend 3 Weeks back home, she's so confused and scared they may not let her in once she leaves,
You can go home. I have traveled to Nigeria twice in one year. I even traveled to Nigeria during the academic session. Make sure your visa is valid and study permit is valid.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker: 2:48am On Dec 07, 2024
Yes, you can.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker:
It is acceptable to apply a day before your permit expires. Applying 30 days before the expiration of your permit is just a recommendation.
You can only update them with the new LOA if you have completed your current program; otherwise, wait for them to make a decision on your application and then apply for another one with your new LOA.
The field of study requirements does not apply to your current program since you started before the policy was implemented. It applies to people who submitted their study permit after November 1, 2024. So, you are eligible for PGWP with your current program, and you can get 3yr PGWP if you do an additional 1yr program that meets the field of study requirements
Their application will be approved with yours.

It does. You don’t want a small opening balance without adequately explaining the large cash inflows that led to the ending balance.
