TheSuperNerd:Ekong, Nwabali and Lookman were the top 3 performers at AFCON. Followed by the rest. Even Sinom self perfomed. Osimhen performed but kept missing chances. He wasn't top 5 to be candid. Where do we place Aina, Bassey and Seyi? In short, all of them performed but Ekong, Nwabali and Lookman were outstanding. |

Osimhen was top 3 to be candid. Without him, we are not making it past the round of 16 not to mention getting to the final. You are underplaying the importance of having a striker of his ilk feature in that haram defensive setup and still carried the attack on his back. No other striker could have made such immense impact. None! Not Awoniyi. Not Boniface. Not Iheanacho. Not Sadiq. Not Tolu. Not Akor. Not Moffi. None of them. Osimhen gave our attack purpose and shape and carried the Fear Factor of the team on his shoulders. He was major key to how we targeted our transition game in the counter. Ekong was awesome. Lookman shone. Aina was superb, Nwabali was a sweet revelation amongst others but Osimhen was beast level throughout. Without him, no final. forgiveness: |

Doc! I think what a lot of our fellow posters don't realize is that in the AFCON tournament there were crucial moments where without Osimhen's impact the team would have crumbled. Have some of us forgotten how barely a few hours to the semifinal game against SA Victor was receiving drip and seriously dehydrated yet came through to win a penalty out of nothing. I'm not saying he had a fantastic tournament but boy was he crucial to our success. Like Maradona for the Argentines in Italia 1990 who didn't perform to his best but almost with sheer will power helped drag the team to the finals with notable contributions from Cannigia and the goalkeeper whose name escapes me now. GMBOFASIA:Coming from a football know-nothing. I guess it was also biased of the entire Nigerian fans section at the stadium to chant Osimhen!!! Osimhen!!! Osihmen!!!! after Nigeria's 2-0 win over Cameroun in the round of 16. Lookman scored 2 goals but Nigerian fans knew who truly won us that game. Argue with actual eye test facts and not jumping on the informed post like an ignorant toddler.

TheSuperNerd:I don’t have time arguing with a drunk so if you are to rate super eagles best player at afcon you will rate Osimhen ahead of Lookman , Nwabali and Ekong |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 8:40pm On Dec 06, 2024 |
I didn't even rate Osimhen ahead of Ekong. I literally answered a question which only intelligent minds followed. I addressed it in previous posts. But you are not intelligent. You are daft and ignorant and that is why you are making this unsound assumption. Now be gone, attention seeking knowledge dwarf. GMBOFASIA: |

TheSuperNerd:Again you talk like drunk you argued Osimhen was among our top 3 player at Afcon and both of us know that just biased opinion |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by TheSuperNerd(m): 8:45pm On Dec 06, 2024 |
I have argued the game on a level you can only dream of. No drunk gets there or have my depth. So say something intelligent to me instead of babbling for attention. And yes, Osimhen was a top 3 performer at the Afcon and I still insist without him, we would not have reached the Afcon final. What your dull brain could have asked is who else are in that top 3? But no. You are daft. Meanwhile... I guess this is biased (click on shorts link below). Osimhen chants right after a game in which Lookman scored 2 goals. Even Lookman joined in the chants. He knows. Everyone at that stadium knows Osimhen won us that Cameroun game. https://youtube.com/shorts/knvKHXMRaaE?si=HiZrVXqoNWMV1Zpm GMBOFASIA: |
