Strict measure's must be put in place for the meter's not to be diverted for personal and commercial gains. They must make sure that the process is not being hijacked by corrupt officials and civil servants. This is not the first time the government is giving out free meter's, but the process will always be defeated by corruption. Good Move from the Government. If we see them doing good, we should remove sentiment and applaud them. But when they go the wrong way, then we should criticize their policies constructively. I pray one day, Nigeria should be great again. |

To prevent NEPA meters from being diverted into private facilities, the best solution now is to ensure each meter is linked to the National Identification Number (NIN). Ideally, we should have: 1. Individual meters for personal use 2. Enterprise meters for rental property owners |

I thought the Minister of power said the meter distribution will start by this December, now being shifted to next quarter, I hope it will eventually take off. The first free metering initiative was 2021, which was planned to be in 3 phases, only the first phase known as phase 0 was achieved, the other phases never see the light of the day. I pray these initiative is vigorously implemented |

It is the same people you are keeping it for that will be going to NEPA to b ribe them with the price of the meter just to get it out. Nigerians are s ick. NEPA people are waiting to sabotage it too. They are really s camming us from estimated billing. How many years will it take them to finish distributing meters? Houses/premises that are without meters cannot be less than 50m. It means it could take roughly 20 to 25 years before they can complete this exercise, assuming they keep setting aside N700billion every year and they are distributing 2m meters as they have said. They better set up a gofundme for this so that the wealthy and those that can also help can donate for us to finish house metering under 2 years. China can supply everything we need under 3 months. |
