It actually depends on the Assets Management you are using, what you want and how you want it.

Most assets managers payout interests at the end of every quarter (End of March, June, September and December). Some customers/clients or investors would want their own interest reinvested while others want theirs paid to their accounts. If you want your interest paid to your bank account instead of reinvesting you can contact them for that.

Also, you can allow the to reinvest then you just redeem the accrued interest anytime you want.

If you chose the 'Reinvest' option at opening, you will always see your interest there. You can withdraw using the 'Redeem' option on the portal.

Also, if I had 10m Naira to invest, what would you advise?
Re: Mutual Funds by Shady92(m): 6:53pm On Nov 27, 2024

Re: Mutual Funds by Neurotika: 6:06pm On Nov 30, 2024
Does anyone know what the management fee is for Stanbic MMF? I've noticed a discrepancy between the interest earned and the current returns, and I'm assuming that the difference represents the fee. If that's the case, it seems quite high, especially considering the long-term implications.

I use them and will say they are fair.

What I do while redeeming is that after I redeem from the app or web, I will also send them a mail about it immediately. Other times I will contact them on WhatsApp with my request details after redeeming on the app.

Not true. I use Stanbic and at the end of every month my interest is added to my capital. The interest starts counting at the beginning of every month.

I think those saying quarterly uses Stanbic too. That an interest is added to your balance doesn’t necessarily mean it’s allowed to compound. I’ve been seeing same returns for months now even though my balances have been increasing. Maybe different experiences sha…
